Thanks for the kudos. Integrating the webView2 technology into  CLTBoss is proving to be so complex, that it warrants a re-write, which will take some time, and I don't really think it is urgent. It would be more for my edification than anything else. I think TurboCLT is what folks need, so long as you can use HTTPJolie.

Your post should really go into the Contributions Forum. If we had support, a moderator could move it for you, but I don't think that will happen, so you will have to duplicate it, delete contents in this thread and point to the duplicate.

In the past, you could have also requested to have the thread pinned. Oh well, regardless, good luck on your project. Seems like a useful one.

It's Ok. Let us know your results. I get very little feedback on this plugin.

HTTPJolie Version 1.61 Available

Includes a few bug fixes and unpublished enhancements in support of GSyren Tools. People who have had trouble connecting GSyren Tools to HTTPJolie in the past might find those problems solved in this release. Please give it a shot.

As usual, you do not have to re-order. Use your old sign-on information and go to the digital downloads tab and you can download the latest version.

Also, I have no need for your personal information unless you are also buying a product that has to be shipped. The login requires name and email address. That's all. I think the rest is optional - at least I attempted to set it up that way. I do not need or want anyone's phone, or home address.

I had a PM conversation with Magmadrag a few days ago. He shared some of his personal problems. I can't discuss them here, but he said he would be unavailable for some time. So I think it's fair to assume that his silence is not a sign of disinterest or laziness. So please cut him some slack for now.

Thank you for that. He has also shared things with me in the past, but not lately. I took his recent post to mean that he was recovered enough to do more Profiler activities.

Oh man, seems as usual, I jump to help (next day) and then wait or beg for the person requesting the help, to even respond to my questions. When will I learn.

Probably the DVD Copy / Paste function could do that. Sorry for the very tardy reply.

I wish had the ability to understand all of that, but I don't. Way too confusing for me, I'm sorry.

My overall reaction is that, so far, you have not been able to use the last two tools I built for you, spending many hours of coding and testing. So it is difficult for me to think about doing any more of that.

If I recall, you have an obsolete OS and refuse to upgrade, so I was never clear whether the errors you encountered trying to use my plugins were due to my programming bugs, or your system.

Am I incorrect in what I remember? If so, I am happy to be corrected and change my thinking.

One of the tools I seem to remember already has both the common names and BY info. But I think you can't use the tool. So why would I build another one? And that tool, by the way, always uses current data, directly from the web site and online database.

Can you confirm you can use the tools I already wrote? If so, then please state your ideas in the simplest possible way, in terms of changes you propose to my existing tools.

Way above my pay grade or ability to understand. Too many words (movie hint: Mozart).

I am always impressed to see the "HTTPJolie available" banner on your tools. You have taken advantage of my efforts in a way beyond my wildest dreams when I wrote that plugin. I thank you for that.

To make sure I understand, when used with DoubleDips, the benefit to the user is that they are not required to manage an XML export?

Interesting. I will take a look at WebView2. If it solves the issues I had building CLTBoss,  I will jump on it, because that would make the tool run at least 10 times faster.

Wow this has the makings of a really nice editor. Can you in fact fill in missing info? Then send the updated profile to the local database?

Interesting thought, but ultimately a lot of  work for little gain, I think. I will, however, add code to let the user select the profile and open it for editing. Not a great time saver, but it saves a couple of keystrokes. As I have indicated before, I don't want to try to do things that is better done in Profiler itself.

Good point. But I'm thinking long term (   ha, ha from a 79 year old). And doesn't HTTPJolie have a profile update from xml? If not, I can make it so.

What is a Dollar Tree disc with common UPCs. Can you show us an example? Are they legitimate?

Never mind, I found an example and explanation here.

Way way back, I recall making a proposal for "gold profiles" or something like that.

It was based on a very handy mechanism that profiler has built-in: Profile files.

A very simple "cloud" would be a repository of approved profile files, indexed by title, profile ID, etc.

Management of the profile files including updates, mapping to a web presentation (pHpProfiler), automated backups, etc. could be performed by a set of special plugins running on a cloud copy of DVD Profiler, whose database is in fact the master database. The plugins could control upload / download of profile files, either approved or pending, as well as user interfaces for the profile approval process by screeners.

Crude, yes, but relatively easy to implement without a lot of sophisticated coding. Everything based on essentially the desktop version of profiler.

Yeah, I was expecting that answer. But I gave it a shot.

I was wondering if the two Tools Titans, GSyren and DJ get together and cobble a "just in case" watered down version of Profiler?

I'm too old and tired, but I would of course do whatever they asked to help out.

It occurred to me that Ken / Family are actually giving us the lead time to do something like that. For whatever reason they have not responded to requests to sell or share the internals, but at least they have provided ample time for the community to fashion a lifeline before he / they are forced to shut down.

I have absolutely no inside information. Merely conjecture on my part.

Hopefully I will get a chance to check it out tomorrow, but I never know. Should I uninstall the old one first?
No. All my plugins automatically uninstall.

I realize now that I have been treading all over Gunnar's turf.  Thanks to mreeder50 for using my email. Let's continue that way, or via PM or the HTTPJolie thread from now on.

I apologize for that, but I didn't see a link to download. When I went to digital download everything had expired, so I figured I had to reorder.

That's OK. It just gets me confused when I think I am making it easy, but somehow it isn't. I forgot to renew the expiration date. And somehow I thought I had attached the file to the email, so there was no link required.

Anyway, now that you have you got it, did it work?
