You did notice, that he added a fake divider, labelled "resuming regular cast listing", in the profile as it is in his online collection right now...?

I was just wondering before, why one gap of the empty dividers was bigger than the others. If anything, I like the blank dividers best.

Yeah, I like the blank.

The first thing I thought of was " We now return you to our normal Cast listing" News at 11 "

If the credit roll does not have a blank space to indicate the end of a certain group of credits, why should we? After all, that would not be as credited.

First of all, note that I was attempting humor in the "resuming regular cast listing" on the divider because of some previous posts about the "extra space" after the Konovalov crew.

<..snip...> taking a look at Antolod's "The Hunt for Red October" profile, I have to say that I don't find the look of the empty dividers too appealing. Maybe it's just me, but this set-up looks a lot like someone forgot to enter something into the field...<..snip...>

Have to agree with Darxon. This doesn't look appealing at all, and as it is, after just looking at the cast list,  there is no way for a casual user to understand why the empty divider is there. Sorry, but if there was a vote about this, I would vote against empty dividers.

For anyone who does not like the blank divider, I have made it un-blank    and uploaded it to my online.

Second, I would NEVER do that to the online db. The empty divider puts the space between the divided cast and the remaining cast list exactly (except for the size of the space maybe) as the on screen credits. The gap IS there in the credits to delineate the following cast is NOT part of the Konovalov crew. I don't recall seeing any divided credits that don't have a space before resuming undivided credits, but I'm sure the possibility is that they exist. In those cases, we need to discuss whether or not one is needed, but my vote would be for one.

As I stated earlier, locally the divider looks like any other, just no text. It takes exactly the space of one cast member.  Please understand I am doing this to show people what inserting the divider can or can not do so we can have an informed discussion about it.

I would definately agree, they should not be used to make gaps... only at the end of a divided cast section.

Check out antolod's Hunt for Red October. I hear it's hooked up already.

In case is is not available for d/l yet, it is in my online.

That looks really nice. Must do it too, in my region

has anyone noticed that cast dividers automatically include a black space above them? Look at the Midsomer Murderers (one of the two episodes profiles) or Nero Wolfe profiles in my online collection. I didn't put those spaces there when i separated out the episode casts/crew.

plus, they also show on my home database.

just an fyi to one and all.

I like it, finding even more uses for the dividers.

But I hope this new use will be limited only when one film is described in the field.  For multiple films I could see it getting confusing....unless of course future versions of profile allow for bolds or different colored fonts on the dividers
