That's easy credits are just that credits, the only legal backing toi them is the contract that says how she will be credited for THAT film. The mugshot, I PRESUME, I suppose it could be wrong but I give the police the benefit of the doubt for getting it right, represents probably as close as we could get to a legal document which might shed light on this topic. As I believe I pointed at during the HBC caper, thge actress mayt well have made legal changes to her name that we were not aware of. I believe I also suggetsed that IF we could find a series of credits H/B-C, H/B/C and then H/B-C again that would provide a prima facie case for parsing her name. As I have said before, I start from square one and buildout from there and I do not make assumptions, or try to bend data to meet a pre-conceived opinion. If we do that, we are constructing a house of sand that will not withstand the storm of scrutiny. I am trying very hard to lay a solid foundation, you can help or not, you can choose as some do to be insulting and make derogatory or not, all of that is your choice. But it will not sway me from continuing to try to build a solid foundation for this database.

I'm not trying to be insulting or derogatory. I'm just flabbergasted that a mugshot has any validity on this discussion at all.

For mugshots, you assume the cop got it right.

For film credits, you assume the actor is changing their legal name back and forth.

I don't know what to say.

James:

I really do try not to be too harsh and impossible on documentation. I have seen credits swap back and forth over any given set of shows (Movies or TV). Hell I have even seen seen 5 different credits for what one might presume to be the same person over 5 successive TV shows, talk about headaches or a chuckle fest.

This thread is a perfect example, why it is as difficult as it is, to get the common name (and BY) issue settled.

What else it is example for, has already been explained in several posts on the previous page.

It wouldn't be difficult if we didn't have to convince the same one person every time that the forum consensus is correct and he is wrong.

OK - not the same one person every time, sometimes there are two of them

I find it hilarious that Skip finds a mugshot slate conclusive, when it merely reflects what the booking officer wrote down. How does this settle anything?

By the way, Skip, it is actually rare for someone to go by both first and middle names. But, even accepting your erroneous assertion that the opposite is true, how many women have you met named Ellen Ellen or Elizabeth Elizabeth?  I would wager that the answer is none. So why does Zsa Zsa sound reasonable as first and middle name? You are just being obstinate.

Further, why do you not now debate whether it should be Zsa-Zsa or Zsa Zsa?

LOL, EPK, you aren't terribly familiar with US customs are you. Give me a break.

Is this vague and incomprehensible remark supposed to pass as deep because you begin your sentence with LOL and end it with a rolling eyes icon? It is a meaningless post which fails to address any of the valid criticisms I made of your puerile arguments. Do you actually read responses to your posts? Do you really like looking like an ass constantly?
