If he isn't in the credit list, he IS NOT CREDITED, PERIOD, END OF STORY!  Just because his picture is shown and he is identified doesn't make that a credit.

In your opinion.  Last I checked, you were a regular user just like everyone else.  The concensus, at least in this thread, is he is credited.

Yet nobody has given a good reason WHY he should be credited.  Not ONE!

They display his picture and his name at the end of the film.

Please explain to me why that is not a credit

There is no requirement in the Rules that says the credit has to appear in the "standard credits" at the end of the film with everybody else.

Nor is there a requirement in the rules that says you can declare anything you want to be a credit on a whim.

He is not listed in the opening credits. At the end of the film there are stills of the main actors with their name listed on the bottom of the screen, he is the last one shown. After that there is the "standard cast credits", where he is not listed.

As his name is listed in a part of the credits, he should be listed.

Platoon does a similar thing prior to the standard end credits so it is not unique.  I would include him as well.

Spreading out the opening credits over the first 20 minutes of the movie doesn't make the parts of the movie between the credits PART OF the credits!  What is matter with you guys?

I am sorry if I was unclear, what I was talking about happens at the end of the movie.  The film ends, they have small clips of each of the 'main' actors including names then the written credits roll.  These are not part of the film.

You're right, they're called outtakes, and very common - but they are NOT part of the credits.

No, these are not outtakes.  I would call these, for lack of a better term, 'visual credits'.

In Tempest, the 15 main actors of the film are shown coming out of a doorway and taking a bow and leaving the frame. Then the shot widens and all 15 of them take a bow...and then the rest of the actors are shown in a traditional credit roll. It's much like a theater performance where the actors come out in increasing importance, ending with the 'stars'. So in Tempest, you start with a minor character, work your way up to the stars, and then start over with minor characters again.

This is the main reason that I haven't updated this profile.

That's our custom, but it's not really in the rules that way. By the rules, we credit everything that's credited, including llamas.

My bad.  I don't have Black Snake House so I was going by CubbyUps first post in this thread:

Son House name appears in the beginning credits of Black Snake Moan, however he doesn't appear in the end credits.

If this statement isn't true and Son House's name DOESN'T appear in the beginning credits, I agree that he doesn't belong in the profile at all.  Sorry for any confusion.

I made a post admitting I made a mistake about that. I have re-edited my original post.
