Which do you prefer:

List disc number and side in one divider:

    Example in a TV set:

    Divider: Disc Number/Disc Side
    Divider: Episode Number/Episode Name
    {cast or crew list]
    Divider: Episode Number/Episode Name
    {cast or crew list]
    Divider: Disc Number/Disc Side
    Divider: Episode Number/Episode Name
    {cast or crew list]
    Divider: Episode Number/Episode Name
    {cast or crew list]

List disc number and disc side in separate dividers:

    Example in a TV set:

    Divider: Disc Number
    Divider: Disc Side
    Divider: Episode Number/Episode Name
    {cast or crew list]
    Divider: Episode Number/Episode Name
    {cast or crew list]
    Divider: Disc Number
    Divider: Disc Side
    Divider: Episode Number/Episode Name
    {cast or crew list]
    Divider: Episode Number/Episode Name
    {cast or crew list]

Do not list disc number or disc side in dividers:

    Example in a TV set:

    Divider: Episode Number/Episode Name
    {cast or crew list]
    Divider: Episode Number/Episode Name
    {cast or crew list]
    Divider: Episode Number/Episode Name
    {cast or crew list]
    Divider: Episode Number/Episode Name
    {cast or crew list]

If there are more than one season (or episodes from different seasons) on one disc, I think a designated Season dividers is called for. Other than that, this thread made me faint. (I have a hunch where it's coming from...)

We have the disc number/side & episode numbers in the disc info section so we don't need them in the credits.

Oh, Great. Then we don't need all the Edition data we are adding that is redundant because we have Widescreen information somewhere else in the Program...right. Inconsistent people. I didn't vote on this and seldon do  So I will very happily,  like Hal, keep all of my data to myself from here on. . But I will still be here and I will still be very active, but my data is MINE from now on.

You guys wanted to list parent profiles, UNTIL it became TOO incomnveneient with Megasets, so instead of recognizing the error of your logic, you decide to try and set up a separate situation which treats Megasets differently. If it weren'tso sad and pathetic it would be absolutely laughable.

The reason we have the problems that we have with the Rules for the most part is not a result of a problem with the Rules, they are a direct result of people not having clue about database design principles.

Thanks for having shown crystal clear your opinion about the rest of the user community, Skip. We will remind you of this post, I can guarantee you that.

Address the points I raised, Tigi and not me, and frankly based on what I see here...ask me if I care. Like I said I am done.

Let's start removing ALL data which is redundant, with particular emphasis on the Edition. That is the crux of your argument here. Be CONSISTENT. Redundant is redundant.

Give me a rational and logical explanation. The point that you miss, tigi, is that when you don't address the argument yo don't give me a reason to support your position, which I am always willing to do, with an appropriate argiument. But the arguments presented, like this one, are typically fairly lame and illogical, if you don't lkike that TOUGH. Deal with it, learn how to present a logical argument. As I said if you believe that we should not include other dividers because we have the information in the Disc ID and perhaps even the Overview, then we have to address the Edition issue on the same basis and that was decided TWO years ago.

You don't have a clue, Tigi.

I know I'm right, John

I keep hoping that ONE day instead of playing their stupid little games, john. That somebody will decide to actually engage in a substantive discussion instead of coming up with this kind of garbage. Based on Tigi's comment, he has his nose bent because I clearly don't respect him or many of the other users. How do you respect someone who refuses to address valid issues and whose only response is to issue personal insults and attacks. That doesn't mean I don't remain hopeful, I do, but I haven't seen it yet.

You guy's know my feelings on most of these polls.... Let the voters decide.

If the current trend continues this will be as much of a landslide as the "use of IMDB" vote was.

@Skip - in a 29 to 2 vote the 29 do NOT have to justify why they want it or answer YOUR questions as to why we don't like your way.

Rick:

Don't go there. The same can be said a of 1-5 that was accepted by Ken and Gerri, but certain users want to have it THEIR way. If you can't answer the arguments then don't get into it, my friend. It's never about MY way, even though you believe otherwise, if that were the case I would develop my own program. But I do EXPECT logical and rational discussion, not discussion that is couched in insults, inane comments and so forth, that only tells me that you cannot address my argument, so you must try to deflect it, so that you can get what you want.
