Please read the forums before flaming me...
For the past few months all I read is, "Released by the end of the month..."
Ok. Now, which month? August? No. September? No. October? No. November? Doubt it.
From everything from Legal issues to "Last Minute Fixes". It is a joke.
By the time it gets released, everybody is going to be so hyped it is going to fall short.
And that is IF it gets released. Please notice that not one time has a tenative date been given.
Or has one? Really? Did it get released? NO. I simply bookmarked my online collection and made it an icon on my iPad. So PLEASE take your time as it is no longer needed.
I am truly Sorry but waiting this long? enough is enough. I no longer want it. Windows 7 didn't take this long to develop. I really wanted it and was really hyped - But MONTHS?
Nevermind. Really. Sorry to Ken but if you cannot let us know more by now?
Funny that Beta releases for the PC come out, but NOT ONE THING for your devoted fans with iPad / iPhones...I WILL BUY IT WHEN IT COMES OUT, let me see...by next October maybe? Maybe NEXT NOVEMBER? Oh, did you want to be paid sooner??? Well your Fans wanted product sooner too.
I am likely to be hated by all the hardcore fans of which I was one, but after checking every couple of hours in the online iPad store for months? It simply isn't worth my time anymore.
And even I was making excuses, but now? C'mon. Not even a Beta? Has development even started? |

| | Posted: | | | | Did you even read what is going on? In order for the iPhone/iPad version to be released, a new version of DVD Profiler (4.7) was needed to properly sync it up. As soon as that completes the beta process, the app will be submitted. We've all been waiting, but posts like this IMO belong to the past several months, when there was no word at all, not now when we are actually seeing progress.
As for Windows 7, they have a team of hundreds/thousands. This is a one-man operation. It takes what it takes to get it made.

| | Posted: | | | | You obviously haven't been around DVD Profiler for too long. Look at the giant gap of time between 2.4 and 3.0. There has been years between editions of the PC version. It's just something that you need to accept if you are a user of the program. |

Have YOU read the other posts? I have been checking DOZENS of times a day and have been told at the end of EVERY single month that it was going to be released.
To whomever said it was a "One Man" operation? What is it going to do? STREAM ALL YOUR COLLECTION FOR VIEWING WITH A CLICK?
No. It is DVD Profiler that has been out for YEARS now.
So to all of you iPad / iPod Touch users - Get Mad at me all you want, but BOOKMARK THIS THREAD.
IT CLEARLY NOW SAYS BEFORE CHRISTMAS, RIGHT?
When Christmas comes and goes someone else will say, "We never said which Christmas"

When will you admit that it simply isn't going to happen in the near future?
If Christmas comes and goes will you admit it then?
How about if it isn't by NEXT SUMMER?
I have been around DVD Profiler for a bit, I am one of it's biggest supporters and recommended it to EVERY PERSON I KNOW...BUT -

Of course I don't have the Mobile app - I don't own a compatible piece of equipment to put it on! But I have been with the program since the very, very beginning in the Intervocative days — years before your join date in 2008. Those who have been with the program since the early days know that a long wait comes with the territory of being a DVD Profiler fan. But the fact that you are besmirching Ken as a liar is incredibly odd. Delays are part of the software industry. Deal with it or move on. Quote:

It is done when it is done. If he released a bug-riddled app that was constantly crashing in order to have it out when you deemed it so, my bet there would be a similar thread to this created by you complaining about each and every flaw. This app was created from scratch, not a simple upgrade to existing software. Neither you or I can state how long that takes without doing it ourselves. |
