Hey everyone just wanted to know what's the best sites to use to get UPCs for discs you don't own.  Especially for ones that haven't been released yet.  I'd love to be able to get some movies in the database before they are released.  Thanks in advance

For Blu-rays, I usually use blu-ray.com. If you find a disc, you can hit "Edit movie" and find the UPC/EAN in there. To confirm, you can search for it on Google and it should come up with appropriate seller links.

Or you can go to Amazon and use an ASIN to UPC converter website. Some online retailers will also list the UPC as well.

Thank you!  I've been using Blu-ray.com for years and had no idea you could find UPCs there!

I've got another option for you.  If Amazon sells the given release take their ASIN and convert it to the UPC.  Free converters can be found online.  I use this approach quite a bit when creating profiles for things I've pre-ordered where the UPC still isn't known.

Are there still converters that work after Amazon changed the usage rules?

Yes, so to speak.

Price tracking sites like CCC will show the UPC.

Just used it for items I just ordered from Amazon US and it works perfect. And it looks like it works for all Amazon sites. Thanks!

I know this is off topic, but perhaps you will cut me a bit of slack. Couldn't find a better place.

I bought a few titles recently during Prime Day and the copycats, and was once again thrilled and amazed that every title was immediately available and completely profiled in the database - bonus discs, child profiles - the whole smash.

Contributors are what makes this place what it is - and I just want to say (again) "thanks!".
