This is something to try. It is a long-shot at fixing your issue.
In the new installation of the PC version DVDProfiler: "Hold the Ctrl key and select Refresh Online Profile List... under the Online... tab."
(Since the DVDProfiler website crashed awhile back, this has been necessary to get DVDProfiler to function correctly.) See this thread http://invelos.com/Forums.aspx?task=viewtopic&topicID=1088572
Then try syncing to the PC again. | Posted: Topic Replies: 9, Topic Views: 1124 | | Quoting andersmo:

......
A word of caution, though. If you wish to use the plugin "Add by DVD Disc ID", you must disable AnyDVD, or else it will read incorrect IDs !!! That plugin is not compatible with AnyDVD. This is 100% true!!! | Posted: Topic Replies: 228, Topic Views: 33972 | | Quoting andersmo:

My licensed copy of AnyDVD has always given the WRONG DVD Disc ID. That's really strange. AnyDVD has always worked for me to correct the DVD IDs in Windows 10. Which version(s) of AnyDVD have you been using? Some very old ones may not have implemented the code to correct the DVD IDs.

The way to get the correct DVD Disc ID every time is to use the DVD Profiler "Add by DVD Disc ID" Plug-in by DJ Doena.
See: http://www.invelos.com/Downloads.aspx?display=plugins and http://doena-journal.net/en/dvd-profiler-tools#AddByDVDDiscID
Quote: I agree that it does work in many cases, but it may be a little cumbersome. Normally, you would want your DVDs filed under their UPC/EAN-codes, not under their Disc IDs. For me it ALWAYS GIVES THE CORRECT Disc ID. Once I have a Profile, with the correct Disc ID, I just edit the profile to be a UPC Profile (it keeps the correct Disc ID)
Quote: And in many cases, you would want to add the Disc ID to an existing profile. In those cases you would have to use the plug-in to create a new "dummy" profile in the database, copy the Disc ID to your proper profile, and then delete the dummy one.
Yes, that is one way to do it.
Quote: However, what to do if there are more than one disc in your DVD set, for example a main feature and bonus materials on separate discs? I haven't found any way to enter the IDs of more than one disc. Perhaps you can teach us some clever trick? I did not say the "Add by DVD Disc ID" Plug-in by DJ Doena was a cure all solution for the Disc ID problem internal to DVD Profiler. I did say "it ALWAYS GIVES THE CORRECT DVD Disc ID".
Maybe if enough users thank DJ Doena for his excellent plug-in, we can persuade him to add new features to the plug-in.
The only way I know to edit/correct "all the DVD Disc IDs" in a multi-disc profile, is to create dummy profiles for each disc, then to use the "BulkEdit" Plug-in by mediadogg to edit the multi-disc profile, then delete the dummy profiles. I personally have never taken the time to do this.

Quote: Things are getting complicated...
Redfox, the maker of AnyDVD, simply vanished without a trace last month. That means that AnyDVD will no longer be updated. If you only need it for correcting the Disc ID in DVD Profiler, that may not be a big issue. But if you use it for its intended purpose - playing discs from any region, or other functions that rely on its decryption engine, you may want some other software that's being updated to cope with the latest discs.
So is there a replacement for AnyDVD? Sort of - but they don't seem to work with DVD Profiler.
Xreveal looked promising. In its Status window, it displays the correct DVDID, both as old and new versions of Windows see it: Disc Information Label: <23934 Julens hjaltar disk1> Capacity: 7,92 GB (4157680 sectors) Timestamp: 2014-04-15 08:15:08 +01:00 Authoring tool: DVDID: 97C58A2E982ED034 DVDID_win10: E860E8F051493F7F
But, strangely enough, with Xreveal running, DVD Profiler reads a third DVDID that has no resemblance to the two above: 85BB69235A856D78 [<23934 Julens hjaltar disk1>]
So I tried DVDFab Passkey which makes DVD Profiler read yet another DVDID: 53420C3C7205C307 [<23934 Julens hjaltar disk1>]
What to do now? My licensed copy of AnyDVD has always given the WRONG Disc ID. The way to get the correct Disc ID every time is to use the DVD Profiler "Add by DVD Disc ID" Plug-in by DJ Doena.

There is the "Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer logo" on the cover. There are the words "Vintage Classics" or the cover, but neither of those is an edition. "Vintage Classics" is just some text they put on the cover (not an actual edition).
I checked several MGM DVDs in my collection with similar covers and nowhere on the actual DVD disc label does it say "Vintage Classics".
I actually have a couple of doubled dipped DVDs, and the cover on one copy says "Vintage Classics" and the cover on other DVD cover does not, but both have the exact same DVD with the exact same label inside.
If the cover actually said "Vintage Classics Edition" or "MGM Vintage Classics Edition", I would accept that in the profile.
If the cover actually said "Vintage Classics Collection" or "MGM Vintage Classics Collection", I would accept that in the profile. | Posted: Topic Replies: 8, Topic Views: 5435 | | Quoting greyghost:
Quote: Or just hold the Ctrl key and select Refresh Online Profile List... under the Online... tab.
This just downloads the complete online profile list, you still need to Refresh Updated Profiles as usual. Thank you, this worked for me.! | Posted: Topic Replies: 30, Topic Views: 11149 | | Agree with Danae Cassandra on this. Don't read to much into it, GSyren. | Posted: Topic Replies: 17, Topic Views: 10387 | |
