| Contribution Discussion | | | Common name for special effects man David Michael Paris
I'd like to establish the common name for special effects man David Michael Paris: DAVID MICHAEL PARIS ( 2 titles, 2 confirmed, 53 profiles) - Soldier (confirmed by T!M) - Speed 2: Cruise Control (confirmed by T!M) MIKE PARIS ( 2 titles, 2 confirmed, 28 profiles) - Invaders from Mars (confirmed by T!M, as "Special Effects Crew") - InnerSpace (confirmed by T!M) D. MICHAEL PARIS ( 1 title, 1 confirmed) - Armed and Dangerous (confirmed by T!M) MICHAEL PARIS ( 1 title, 0 confirmed) - Little Giants (confirmed by T!M) Note that his credit in 'Invaders From Mars' (1986) is questionable: it's for "Special Effects Crew", and like "Special Effects Technicians", which he's also occasionally credited as, those are generally left out (most profiles for 'Invaders From Mars' don't include them) as the words "Special Effects Crew" aren't explicitly named as valid in the the crew credits table in the contribution rules. I've only included the credit in this post to reflect what comes up in the CLT, but even if we include it, David Michael Paris remains the common name, due to the larger number of profiles. | T!M |

| Contribution Discussion | | | It appears that even one dissenting vote, regardless of its merit, is enough to block a contribution. (1 2 )
I am happy to announce that 4 contributions that had 1 no-vote were released after all (UK Arrow's TMNT box); I would assume that adding an extensive explanation after seeing the vote might have helped. So maybe, maybe, there is still some manual scanning of contributions incertain cases after all. | The_Fox |
