Is is Tower of Terror/Haunted Mansion/Mr. Toad's Wild Ride/The Country Bears ?
Or is it Disney Thrills and Chillls ?
Or something else?

And what - if anything - is the edition?

I would use...

Title: Disney Thrills and Chillls
Edition: Empty

Since we use title of the set for box sets.

I don't see 4-Movie Collection being part of the title. To be honest didn't even notice it there until now. But if anything at all it would belong in the edition field.

I half agree with Pete.  Where I differ is with the empty edition field.  The rule for that field says, "The Edition field is for distinguishing between DVDs, and for indicating special versions and collections."  To me, 4-Movie Collection qualifies as a collections so would be a valid edition.

Per rules it don't have to distinguish from. That is only ONE of the uses of the edition field. The field has 3 uses...

- Distinguishing between versions
- Indicating Collections
- Indicating Special Versions

And even if you don't feel it fits in any of those three (which could be argued).... don't make it part of the title. Either way it is not part of the title of the set.

There is an "and" there, so both conditions must apply. Not one or the other.

Not necessarily... it is saying the field can be for this and and the field can be for that. I know this is the way we have been doing it (with those exact rules) for as long as I remember.

But once again.. I still have to say there is no way it would be part of the title whether it is believed to be part of the edition or not.

Exactly. It doesn't say the field can be for this or the field can be for that. It says it has to be for this AND that. Both.

I have no personal interest in this. I'm just quoting the rules. And the rules also say: "If you are using a non-standard description, take it from the DVD box, and ensure it will help distinguish between different releases of the same title."

If it should be part of the title field or not ? I think we both are right.  "(Use the title from the front cover.") It's on the front cover.

It says use the TITLE from the front cover... that is in a banner above everything... it is in no way part of the title. It is not even near the title to be part of it.

Also "and" can be used 2 different ways... it could mean (like you are talking about) and all of it has to be checked off the list to use... or it could mean that there is a list of different times the field can be used... not all of them but any of them.

There is many releases that the only release has "The Whatever Edition" and it is the only version out. Going by the way you are thinking we wouldn't be able to capture the edition because it is the only release.

That is not what is meant here.
