| Posted: | | | | Before I buy the mobile edition, are there any problems/known issues on Windows Mobile 5 Smartphones (I have a T-Mobile Dash)? |

| Posted: | | | | By unsupported, do you mean "I haven't tested it, it might work, but you're on your own if something goes wrong" or do you mean "It flat out doesn't work"? |

| Posted: | | | | It flat out doesn't work I downloaded the trial edition. The synch with the the standard Windows product works fine, but I think there's something in the forms control on the mobile version that's causing it to generate an error. |

| Posted: | | | | Yeah, not happy on my WM5 Smartphone, installs and syncs but then can't be run. It would be nice to get even a small version going on the smartphone simply to have my collection with me in the shops to avoid that "ah, I've bought it again" moment. |

| Posted: | | | | I may have to convince the wife to let me get a smartphone so I can get on this. My nephews were berating my ancient cell phone last time I saw them, so maybe it's time. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative | | | Last edited: by Ken Cole |

| Posted: | | | | I just tried this on my Palm Treo 700W (Windows Mobile 5) and it works with one problem that should be an easy fix. The Treo screen is square, and anything on the screen below 240 can't be accessed. A setup for 240x240 should work. A work around might be to allow the left and right buttons to move btween the tabs at the bottom of the screen that I can't get to... I noticed that this works when viewing details from the upcoming discs screen. (I just posted this to the BETA thread)
Ken, if you want me to try a patch for this, I'd be happy to test it out while you wait for your new cell phone...

Still cleaning up pieces of my jaw that were shattered all over the place earlier today when I heard about invelos. Congrats Ken! | | | Dyslexics are teople poo. | | | Last edited: by bpatt |

| Posted: | | | | Well, it works on my O2 XDA Neo Smartphone with Windows Mobile 5.0 OS 5.1.195 (Build 14847.2.0.0). Synching works (after I moved the folder to /DVD Profile Mobile on the memorycard) and it runs. I can scroll through my collection, look at details (including cast), personalize, look at the upcoming releases and use the DVD pick function. I get an error when I try to search for title - but this does not seem to be a smartphone-only problem (see: http://www.invelos.com/Forums.aspx?task=viewtopic&topicID=37378 ) Update: Just downloaded Version 1.01 and installed it - and now find works | | | Last edited: by Joerg_Mosthaf |

| Posted: | | | | Quoting Ken Cole: Quote: The setup program should be run on your desktop machine. Ah OK, thanks Ken. I realise it's probably documented somewhere but it would be good to include it in the readme included with the setup application. It would also be helpful to say in the readme that the app should be installed to the device not to the flash card and give an indication of total size! And, yes, it works fine now. (under WM5) I've only had this MDA for a week or so but this mobile version of DVD Profiler has the potential of making all the difference for me - especially when I visit local DVD stores. I can check whether an item is in my collection as well as checking the price on Amazon via my mobile data network! |
