I'm a bit disappointed in the lack of interest for this project, so I guess I'll abandon it and move on to something else.

I would absolutely love to have a better way to know who is who with movie ties.

I suspect there is indeed interest in this. but compiling a list of everyone with common name issues and keeping it up to date sounds daunting.

I'm wondering if this would work best if there was a document maybe in a Google drive that everyone could access and add names to and update them periodically to let the software do the rest. That way the workload needed would be divided among different participants. While I probably wouldn't have time to compile a full list and keep it up to date, I'd be willing to do so for a certain number of people.

Daunting? That work is already being done in the forum thread List of Common Name Threads. One just has to convert those four posts into a single web page. It takes less than half an hour. I did it myself for my local test. Then it's just a matter of administering that web page instead of the forum posts. Should be the same amount of work.
