| Posted: | | | | Never was a big fan of his, but it's tragic that he was unable to overcome whatever it was in his life that led him to drugs and that he died so young. We should have sympathy for his family and friends, who have lost someone they cared about. | | | If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. -- Thorin Oakenshield |

Were you big drug users? No, so STFU I disagree. Nobody has said they do not feel bad for his family. I certainly am very saddened for his family. It doesn't mean that he should be forgiven for taking drugs because we all know the possible consequences. At the end of the day, he is died from a drug overdose, something which would not have happened had he simply said no. His family and friends are the real victims as it is them that must now deal with the death of a talented person they cared about long before his time. It is them we should feel sorry for. |

You have no right to comment on something you don't know. Were you big drug users? No, so STFU I think both of you took this thread way to seriously. You may very well have family members that are addicts or you could be on the other side of the fence; either way I think this was a bit uncalled for. Users aren't the only victims; it affects the family members as well. Are you in either position to make such comments? No, I was not a user but I do know how it affects the family because I had a family member that was an addict. Yes, people do make stupid mistakes because they're human but they also have the choice to change that. I'm not offended by the other comments nor do I think they were out of line; I actually agree with a lot of the other opinions. I think the drug dealers are the main problem but I'll refrain from posting what I think should be done to them as I'm sure many might find my course of action offensive or extreme. Anyway it's sad to see another person gone. I'm sure Hollywood isn't less affected by this issue than regular society but we tend to hear about it more because they're in the spotlight. | | | Last edited: by rdodolak |

Usual problem is that family's don't help much because it's not as if soon as someone consumes something to the point of addiction do they have an action plan in hand and have a clear understanding how to emotionally deal with the situation. This is why family's often unintentional make the addict worse and in turn make there life's worse the more they condemn there actions. The addict feels useless depressed he takes more drugs to get rid of the pain. So should we just kiss there butts? No. Should we hurl abuse at them and call them every name under the sun? No. It should be we deal with the situation rationally and try to find out the under lying reason what lead someone to addictive substance. | | | Last edited: by ShinyDiscGuy |

Written with the the typical feel-good sunshine and ignorance of someone who has never had to deal with an addict. Written like dumb American hick who has never thought about the underlying reasons behind someones addictions. In answer to your question i have known ppl on heroin. |

| Posted: | | | | No, you've known friends of friends on heroin. It's not the same. When you know people on heroin, you stop wondering about life's deeper meanings on "oh, dear, I wonder what this troubled lad got himself into to try this dangerous drug" to "jesus christ, this loser has stolen more of my shiitake for his habit. I'm done with him." "I've known people on heroin..." Yeah. Sure. | | | Reviewer, HorrorTalk.com

Totally that's why till they can function in society should be taken into care and gotten off the stuff and have the underlying problems delt with as well. Taken away the drug without eliminating the underlying problem will just lead back to the drug in the end. I have watched friends take methadone as if it was clear fresh spring water and still want a hit. |
