Sheesh, you try to be part of the community... By waiting four and a half year to make a "Think Of The Children" post... Give me a break Do you think I will loose any sleep because I paint you as the "I'm offended everyone must be" type of guy you are... Yes, I'm generally not one to post on forums, as such is my choice. I think DVD Profiler is a great product, hence the reason I've paid my money for the full version, adding to the company's revenues, which I hope in turn contributes to improving on the product. In using the product I've paid for, I saw something I thought might potentially be problematic, and perhaps it would be completely innocuous, and my concerns unfounded. But I made the choice to try and being the issue to the attention of those I felt would need to know. That said, I can only ask at this point, why are you attacking me? Apparently your perceived knowledge of my being offended by adult entertainment (which is utterly non-existent I might add) is patently offensive to you, for reasons which I don't understand. I don't know you. You don't know me. How is it I've managed to offend you so badly? |

I don't know you. You don't know me. How is it I've managed to offend you so badly? It doesn't take much to offend forum users, exspecially if you comment about the product or how inadequate or antiquated the rules are. |

I disagree again. Adults are not the only people that use this program. I have a 15 year old who adds titles in the wishlist and she's been doing it for 3 years. |

Who asked you to deal with it? If you don't want to deal with it, that is your choice but why get so upset when someone else makes a different choice? You say he didn't offend you, yet you were upset enough to attack and insult him. I wouldn't want you to monitor what my kids do. I do that with the safety measures provided by this site and others. The OP was about a profile that was either a glitch in the program or someone not following the contribution rules for a adult title. For you to take it as a personal crusade against the OP is BS. There was no need to jump on the OP and call him a hypocrite. And then you try to make excuses why it isn't a problem. |

| Posted: | | | | I just tried something and found another adult title that is visible even with parental controls on.
If one does a search for Drippers (with the Search Within Title box checked) an obvious porno title will show up. Even though it has no cover art in the profile, it can be easily seen by children or by those that may not want to see such titles.
So yes, ateo is correct, Either the OP's case was a glitch or more likely someone uploaded the profile and didn't mark it as an Adult title per the rules.
It has nothing at all about being a prude or a hypocrite, it's about either a glitch or someone didn't follow the rules. |

I can see a point for the original critzised profile (which is why I haven't chipped in so far). But this? So you have to know the exact title of this movie, it hasn't even covers that could give the adult content away yet you still fear that people might accidentally stumble over this? | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

I only used the word Drippers because the first word in the title is Adult in nature and I didn't want to get into trouble posting that on here. But perhaps a kid was going through the list and was at Cuckoo in the list and this title would show up later on down. Another point is I wonder how many Adult titles are in the database that could be shown in the list even with the Parental Controls on. Already there are/were two, odds are there are many more and perhaps with pornographic covers much worse than what was in the OP. |

Yeah but such is life. you will never 100% make sure childs won't see porn when they turn on the computer or even the TV. Rule 34 is a fact of life. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

Can't stop everything, we can only do our best. I'm glad the OP just didn't ignore it but brought it to everyones attention. My problem is with the response in the forum. |
