The more I think about it the stronger my opinion is that it all belongs in the title.

From the rules: The title for a Box Set should be the title listed on the front cover, for example Alien Quadrilogy

IMO this makes the most sense, and follows the rules....
Title: Garfield 2-Movie Collection
Edition Blank

Why? The other option would be:
Title: Garfield
Edition: 2 Movie Collection

This makes it look like it is just Garfiled.  The '2-Movie Collection' is like the Quadrilogy from the example in the rules.

We wouldn't have this:
Title: Alien
Edition: Quadrilogy
HDTV: 52" Toshiba Regza 52XV545U  AVR: Onkyo TR-707
Speakers: Paradigm Monitor 7 v6, CC-190 & Atom Monitors  Subwoofer: Definitive Technology ProSub 800
BD/DVD: Oppo BDP-93 (Region Free)  HD PVR: Motorola DXC3400 500GB w/ 1TB Expander
BD/DVD/Game: 250GB PS3 Slim DVD/Game: 250GB XBox 360 Elite Special Edition (Black) Game: Wii
Remote: Logitech Harmony One w/ PS3 Adapter WHS: Acer H341 Windows Home Server

Thank you for that.... I definitely agree with your reasoning... and pretty much cements my belief it all belongs in the title field.

I agree that all the data belongs in the Title Field as: Garfield 2-Movie Collection.

The edition field is left blank.

If it is not an edition it should be done as you state here.  Some have said it should be done as a title  "Garfield: 2-movie collection" implying an edition.  However there is no colon in the title and the episode rule would not apply here.  So if it is agreed to be in the title it should read  "Garfield 2-movie collection" (no colon)

This does not follow capitalization rules and therefore is not correct:

Garfield 2-movie collection > Garfield 2-Movie Collection

I am not going to discuss the colon/no colon topic. That topic is controversial and invelos has not weighed in on the matter.

I agree with you there... I just submitted the title a few minutes ago... without a colon.

What capitalization rule is that Kathy? I ask because I already submitted without colon.... and want to be sure it is right... as far as I know it would be right without.... unless there is something I am missing?

I believe she was refering to "2-movie collection" which should be "2-Movie Collection"

Yeah well in typing quickly I missed the capitalization, you are correct.

The colon would imply edition or the episode rule and since some people elect to display editions  with parenthesis "()" we need to be sure to only inject (add ones that are on the cover) colons in the title where it is in the rules

I have a different version of this in my collection.

Title: Garfield The Movie / Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties
Edition: Double Feature 2-Disc Set

Not sure I agree with the edition listing for my version. While Double Feature is prominently listed on the cover, 2-Disc Set is mentioned nowhere.

Here is a larger version of the case you have...

With Ken's clarification that the edition must come from the FRONT cover...

That one should be...

Title: Garfield The Movie / Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties
Edition: Double Feature

2-Disc Set is not on the cover... so don't get put in the edition field.

I'd go with

Title: Garfield: 2-Movie Collection
Edition:

Notice the colon because I think it makes the most sense. This isn't a "Garfield 2" DVD.

Take 5051892066037 (UK) as comparison, it's a similar case:

Title: Harry Potter: The Complete 8-Film Collection
Edition

or 5017239151934 (UK)

The Lord of the Rings: The Motion Picture Trilogy
Edition: Extended Edition
