my foil hat is firmly in place. Your mind altering signals cannot penetrate, nor can your attempts to get me to help bring this thread to it's 25 page goal.

I watched a program the other day about prodigies and how people who are brilliant at something (such as a chess master) can fail completely at something else (in this case fighting a flash over fire).

It boiled down to the idea their expertise informed their intuition in one field, but they tended to over analyse situations they weren't familiar with.

They dubbed it paralysis by analysis.

Can't help but feel this applies to many of the arguments here where people claim expertise in one field then try to argue another, ending up going round in circles rather than reaching a rational conclusion.

For what it's worth to stay on topic I find it odd we have a rule that prohibits correct data being entered into the database, and odder that the significant value rule is invoked, when debates and votes in the past clearly show significant value varies for each person.

But then what about significant value in a contribution to a discussion, after 20 pages?

I'm really growing tired of all this. Accept or Deny the contribution and move on... It really doesn't matter. When I buy the DVD, I will just make the change locally. Is it really worth all this? Yeah, I know it's the principle at hand, but this is rediculous.

Even though I honestly had this title on my wish list because I will buy it (and thus voted yes for the contribution), I'm removing my vote completely. I hope the rule gets looked at in the future but I also hope we can move on...

Ken should just program in a filter that ignores SRP contributions entirely if the delta is 5c or less prior to the voting change.

Gawwwwd, I don't know... this whole thing gets my Yes vote for Most Ridiculous Thread Ever.

All sides have provided their opinions, all valuable, what's the point of going on and on about it? Let Ken/Gerri decide and end of the argument, no need to be so thick...
Funny, these cookies don't taste anything like Girl Scouts.

I agree with James.  If you have to be insulting to get your point across, your point is fairly worthless.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

Then you get double the amount of modifications, 7 cents down, 6 cents up...
