| Posted: | | | | *crickets chirping and butterflies flapping around* This place seems so... serene A first in my time here. It may actually make me want to post more frequently. *Hearing a faint, collaborative "Noooooooo!" in the background* Obviously I don't post often, but I do not see my views, opinions, questions, or contributions to discussions as any less valid than those who have been here for years. (My answers to questions may end up incorrect, but that's not the same as the others). [philosophy rant] Groups can often get accustom to voices of more-established members and forget that, more often than not, newer voices -- often timid and uncertain -- must be allowed not only to be heard but to be heard more loudly and clearly than those who have established themselves. The fresh perspective from newer members is what often brings new ideas never considered before or helps to reaffirm, invalidate, or reestablish past ideas which have become stale. (Once you know all views by regulars on a particular subject and conflict has brought it to a stalemate, it's often the new voice that sparks life back in which may finally allow an end result.) It is times like these when a forum appears more at peace that those new, timid voices can more easily be heard. [/philosophy rant] I hope that the same will happen here. It was feelings of intimidation and that my voice and views were near-worthless when I initially posted here which kept me from contributing to discussions more frequently. If I have felt that way, then there are others who have felt that way as well. Maybe right now is the perfect time and situation for which that could change for the better. | | | If at first you don't succeed, skydiving isn't for you.

| Posted: | | | | I don't watch the forums close enough, anymore, to know all the intricate goings-on but a large portion of this thread, and a few others as well, is little more than a stab at "other users". The remarks about the absence of another user(s) and the indirections aren't even clever (see first page). If you are going to attack someone just do it. What you are doing here is dishonest.
If you want to thank the forum as a whole then do so without the unnecessary comments about "others".
A few have expressed sincere gratitude in this thread but many have not.
This group has a long way to go before a truly pleasant and helpful atmosphere is attained. | | | Dan | | | Last edited: by Dan W |

IMHO the history of this board shows that red arrows, "Please don't do that again"'s and stuff like that don't solve the problem. Only strict moderation in combination with long, or permanent ban's will do that. Regards Dieter | | | Last edited: by meyerd |

| Posted: | | | | Lovely, vittra, now why am I not surprised that you would use this thread to attack a user. More importantly why is it that you think that is OK. because ken has chosen to IGNORE the behavior of people like yourself and Alien, north, Tim to name just a few who use these thread to attack people. | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!!
