I generated the list out of your CSV.

What I meant with The profiles, which seem not to exist in the data base: When I try to add the profile by entering the UPC in DVDProfiler, I get only two localities to select for the download; US is not available for selection.

e.g.

All three Profiles exist in other locations:
065935141952-Canada
065935141952-Canada (Quebec)
065935141952-United States

065935222491-Canada
065935222491-Canada (Quebec)
065935222491-United States

086162000355-Chile
086162000355-Mexico
086162000355-United States

If I had to guess, I'd look for some loose variable binding, which equals the locality 0 with an empty string...

Just to document the BY already included in our data base...

Beside the well known cinematographer Adam Greenberg (1939) there are at least two other persons sharing this name:

Adam Greenberg (????) who is credited as an actor for the (South)American production The Stranger (2014) (not listed in IMDb but checked visually) and

Adam Greenberg (????) who is credited as an actor for the French production Krach.

Other ones - at least if the IMDb is correct:

Danny Smith(????) aka. Danny F Smith is credited for Surrogates (his only credit in our CLT; his headshot crept in with the fake BY 9500).

Danny Smith(????) is credited for Conspiracy Theory and Hollywood Dreams.

Danny Smith(????) is credited for Cutback.

Danny Smith(????) is credited for Zoey 101

the film in question is an Italian / French and West German co production, so those studios would be correct.

Based on which source?

Back on topic: I see some space for interpretion for media companies (especially because they are locality dependent), but according to the rules and the fact that contributed data has to be controllable, I can't imagine a valid studio credit without any justification in the credits of the movie.

Yes, this fake BYs are strictly local. ... erveryone has to do the differentiation for him/herself again...

But they work for oneself.

I for myself try to follow the BY threads and create the needed fake BYs up front; that's when the headshots get incorporated into my data base. This way of handling - if I were up to date - allows to immediatly identify wrong entries without big researches....

Mike Miller (1949) is invalid due to his common name Michael Miller.

BYs are needed for all the Mike Millers out there, but I don't know any...

You can add dummy BYs in your local data base.

9xxx is an established variant, where xxx is the roman number appended in IMDb. - eg. 9025 for the VFX guy, 9000 for a guy not listed in IMDb.

When you contribute profiles including such dummy BYs, you may not check the BYs on the bottom:

When you refresh these profiles, the dummy BYs are marked to be updated, but the download itself does NOT touch them, as long as there is not a valid BY - given BYs overwrite existing (dummy) BYs.

Tons of these dummy BYs are included with the headshot files...

Last but not least: you should add the additional Ken Jones to the BY documentation to keep them all together...

Yes, agree, Ken prohibited such tools by still allowing "unneeded" dividers being omitted.

Sorry, my bad. Thought DVDProfiler puts the data into the clipboard (as seen with cast and crew data). But realized, that it only puts a pointer into the clipboard.

Sugestion for Improvement:

Getting a UPC/EAN takes many mouse clicks/Keystrokes. Copying a DVD from DVD profiler is done with two clicks.

It would be great, if the program would detect a complete DVD (CSV) in the clipboard and extract the UPC/EAN...
