Note the DVD Profiler Facebook group is a fan group, I don't see either Ken or Gerri as members. The sole group admin hasn't posted in it since 2011 though he seems active on Facebook itself.

I've got a CueCat too but ended up quicker to just type them in since I know ten-key.

Can you expand? Was there a man-in-the-middle or DNS spoof attack?

If you updated the phone's OS recently, that's likely the issue. Recent versions have amped up the permission rights and it's likely been stripped from the app since it hasn't been updated in quite some time.

Try viewing the Apps in the phone's settings and viewing the permissions to see if they need to be re-enabled.

Watching the page load so I can reply is like watching a page load while connected via a modem. I can watch the Emoticon icons populate for example.

IMDB is also known for embedding subtle errors in their cast & crew listings to catch such data mining.

It's been the same programmer since the first version. Ken Cole broke from the original "company" (more of an umbrella for multiple programmers to sell their apps). The original agreement, if I recall, was to split the profits of their efforts but it boiled down to Ken feeding everybody. Ken managed to break away after the others sued and formed Invelos to continue.

The "Hello Everyone" has 7 pages according to the topic list but upon viewing only has 3. Lotsa spam.

Does posting this in multiple forums means it's ... dare I say ... spam?

It's also the paradise.

I'd like to see such a new thread as my wife & I have been talking about that too.

Our current evaluation is that a travel trailer or RV is like owning a boat. Nothing but money going into it.

From their FB page: "we carry only authentic African Movie Copies" (emphasis mine). Also love the mistakes in the movie description on the back cover.

You can right-click on the cover image in DVDP and select "Copy". Paste it into your favorite photo editor, resize to your needs, and print.

The graphic says 3.9 but I believe it just hasn't been updated. You should be good to go

The DVD library files will be stored in your Document folder under "DVD Profiler". Typically this is in C:\<username>\Documents\DVD Profiler

If you backed up your database, you'll find it in a DPB file, such as "back.dpb"

I'm glad that someone is watching. I'm happy I still can play Whack-a-Spammer.

In the program itself, go to the Tools and perform a database repair and then try again.

Do you have some kind of custom collection setup? The online site says you have 296 but owned/ordered/wishlist all show zero.

Well enough. I'd still tip a beer with ya.

I don't want to insult you, but do you think keeping a corporate web server operational and legally functioning, along with the obvious continuing contributions and other web services, and ongoing availability of mobile applications, requires simply a monthly payment from a credit card?

I know it doesn't, but Ken has stated that a large part of the functionality is automated including forum moderation based on down votes and submitted profile updates based on votes. Things appear to be on auto pilot.

Nope - the business world doesn't work that way. Lots of folks are being paid on a regular basis to keep this going.

Being paid to keep the service available is not the same as being part of Invelos. I have an automatic withdraw set up for my on website hosting that pays people to keep the servers up but if my checking account closes or runs out of money, the site will be turned off.

I did see [someone involved with Invelos] log onto the forums yesterday so there's hope.

It would go against everything I believe to be the fundamental "good" of whoever is providing this resource, if it were to be taken away with no notice, or no explanation. But I do lament the strong chance that such an announcement of the end of DVDP as we know it, will come.

My suspicion is that invelos.com is a ghost ship sailing through the night under its own power and systems running on auto. I think it'll keep going until whatever account the server hosting is drawing from expires.

I received several "server not found" errors over several minutes. I sighed and thought "It is time...."

But not today it seems.

I have a feeling this was debated to death back in the day but I don't feel up to searching for it.
