| Posted: | | | | My copy of The Griddle House looks identical to the one already in the database except for the UPC. Is there a way I can easily clone the existing date for the alternate UPC? |

| Posted: | | | | That didn't work. Because my edition shares a UPC with another film (A.M.I.: Artificial Machine Intelligence), the data was replaced with the data for that film.
Like I said, everything was identical except the UPC. The instructions provided here effectively discorrected the entry. | | | Last edited: by CinemOpera |

Download the profile that looks identical to yours and the select the profile. 1. From the menu bar, go to DVD -> Change UPC / Locality 2. From the Change UPC / Locality popup window, under New ID -> change the UPC field to match your UPC. 3. Click on the arrow button on the right side of the window, this will expand the window with more options. 4. Select the "Create New Alternate Version" option and click the OK button. |

| Posted: | | | | Also before creating an alternate version, verify that your copy isn't a bootleg, as it seems many of the titles you've been inquiring about seem to likely be bootleg. Sharing a UPC with a different title is generally a sign to be wary of.
I will say that bootlegs are getting more and more sophisticated. I work in a store that buys/sells used DVDs and BRs. My boss bought an entire run of bootleg Sons of Anarchy seasons about a month ago. He's been managing the store for 25 years and they slipped by him. He thought they looked a bit off, but not enough to pass on them. | | | If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. -- Thorin Oakenshield |

| Posted: | | | | It was right for a while. Now it's showing that I own A.M.I., which I don't. A lot of the Dollar Tree DVDs have that UPC on a sticker over the original, while others have it printed on. It should also be noted that many of these are maid by the same company, which might explain why they're in the same store with the same UPC. |
