Has anyone else noticed duplicate entries in the database? I just went to update 12 monkeys UPC 025192046223. In looking for the update I noticed another profile with the same UPC. the difference was the locality. One Canada and the other US. Wouldn't these be the same DVD if the UPC is the same? I noticed this on other titles as well.

On another note... The first DVD in the list has no title but when using preview to see it, the title is Sunset Strip. This should be looked into. UPC 024543118091

Thats all.

Not necessarily, that's why the Locality-information is there.

This is so we can have a local SRP. Even if the disk is the same for Canada, Mexico and the USA, the price is not the same. There should also be differant ratings.

Something went wrong as I was adding disk-id and checking the cast/crew to this profile, I think I hit a space to un-pause PowerDVD and cleared out the title. I then hit the submit button and moved on to the next title. Someone else has already submited a fix, should hit the database in a day or two.

I think then there should be a pull down box in the database to provide locality that also adjusts the SRP. I am sure that I have many titles that have the right UPC #er but the wrong locality for the US. I will now have to check. This way there only one profile needs to be updated, not 2 3 or 4 with the same UPC code and probably all with different information, not just the SRP.

We aslo have dup profiles where two UPCs are used because there are two differant security systems that are in use here in the USA! In this case the only differance that we can see is the UPC itself!

I think that the current solution is best. You do ocassionally get the same title released with the same UPC in different localities, but with different extras, covers, ratings SRP, etc. Having two completely independent profiles really is the best option, despite its drawbacks.
This is a sig... ... ... yay...

Don't understand? Maybe DVDProfilerWiki.org does!
