| | Posted: | | | | My daughters received a Reader's Digest 3-disc box set as a gift, about a year ago. The box-set was only a soft slip case with no artwork (besides the Reader's Digest logo). The three discs are individually packaged in normal keep cases, with different artwork on each disc. Since none of the discs have UPC codes (and neither does the box-set's slip case), am I right to assume that the only way to submit this set would involve submitting individual profiles for all three discs (using the disc ID as the identifier since no UPC exists)? I kind of like the parent-child profile system but I guess this won't apply here... |

| | Posted: | | | | What you could do as a compromise is to add the box set using the disc ID of the first disc. Then add the information for both the box set and the first disc in that profile. Then you can add the other two discs as child profiles. The only other way I can think of is to use the disc ID of the first disc but add info for all three films (using dividers) - which I think is worse! Just thought of an option 3  - create profiles for each disc using their disc IDs - then create a manual profile for the box set (uncheck the "download profile" box when adding DVDs) - that way at the very least you can have the parent-child profiles in your local database, and we'll still have the three discs in the online database. |

Then, create a manual entry for the slipcover and keep it only in your local db. You should be able to hook the other profiles to it just like any other parent, just don't contribute it. That keeps things in a similar format for your db without messing up the online. BLAST! Northbloke copped my idea already! Well, it's a good idea anyway!  | | | John
