Pardon? Who the heck is Ethan Haas?

I just read this article at Empire Online and followed their links. It is very cool, but no-one knows why! Just wondered if any of you have played with it yet. Apparently it's a film. There was a trailer. Hmmm ...

EDIT: Someone at Empire posted this link to a dodgy copy of the trailer filmed from a cinema. Bags of potential ...

This as of yet untitled (Cloverfield is apparently a covername, while some believe the project is titled Slusho)JJ Abrams project is being produced through his Bad Robot studios by Paramount.  The trailer is attached to Transformers.  The trailer is very cool but has only been seen through pirated video on the internet through sites like YouTube.  Paramount has promptly ordered most of these pirated versions removed anytime they have popped up.

There is a ton of rumors and speculation about what this project is, just search the net and you can read more about the mystery!!!  As I have said, the trailer is extremely intriguing!!!

All that is really known is that it is a monster film of some type.  Speculation on the 'net has ranged from a secret Godzilla film to an adaptation of Lovecraft's Cthulu legend.

From: What Would Tyler Durden Do?

If you’ve seen "Transformers" by now, you've also seen a teaser trailer for the most secretive project in Hollywood, a movie called "Cloverfield", directed by JJ Abrahms and written by "Lost" writer Drew Goddard. The movie looks like a mix of Godzilla and Godzilla if he interrupted a party that someone was filming, but it's hard to say for sure because almost nothing is known about the movie. It's not even officially named Cloverfield yet, and the website is completely useless except for revealing the movies release date. It's also good if you want to stand naked and have awestruck girls staring up in astonished disbelief, but that gets boring after an hour or so.

I'm surprised this hasn't generated more interest.  Knowing how much you all like the games that get posted here from time to time, I was hoping some of you would have a go at the puzzles and tell me how to get through the tricky little buggers!

The trailer has been pulled from YouTube, but it's still up at the MySpace link I posted.

If any of you are thinking "what puzzle?" then you didn't bother going to Empire's article. For the lazies, here's the link: www.ethanhaaswasright.com. The first puzzle is a Simon Say's type thing which unlocks a video message. That's all the help you're getting from me!  Because, erm, I'm a bit stuck ...

There's also a www.ethanhaaswaswrong.com, but it's just selling t-shirts.

The official teaser trailer is now up in QT and HD.

And according to JJ Abrams there are more web sites out there that no one has found yet but the Ethan Haas site is not one of theirs.

Thanks for the HD link. Much better! I'm suspicious of the Ethan Haas links not being anything to do with them. If it isn't, it's something else that's intriguing. The first has a hidden video message where someone warns you have to be ready by August. The second is selling T-shirts with comments about the same rumours to do with the film.
