I recently added "Extras: The Complete Second Season" to my collection by using the Add by Title method.  Now, in my Collection List, that entry is highlighted green (no other title is).  I suspect it's just my ignorance, and it's probably a feature, but where did the highlighting come from, and how do I get rid of it?  Actually, I could see uses for highlighting different titles different colors, but I can't figure out how to do it.

Novice User,

It indicates titles that are recently release or about to be released - I think it is a 2 week period around the current date.

So, it will eventually go away on it's own?

Yes, once the release date of the title is more then a week (?) old then it will no longer fall into the time period so will no longer be highlighted.

You can turn off the functionality in the options if I remember correctly - don't have DVDP installed on the computer I am using  to check right now exactly where and how.

If you want to get rid of it now, and prevent it from showing up: Go to "Options" then "Display" and unclick "Highlight New Releases".

Thanks!  Is there a feature, for example, where I could make my favorite movies color highlighted, or is that more of a Tag/Filter thing?

I'm not certain but I don't think so. I remember this being discussed in another thread but I couldn't find it - sorry. Mole - if you answer this I'll give you the day off too!

Why don't you put this in the features request section sounds like a nice idea
