Hi,

I've got two movies (ok, I've got more than that ).

1st:
Title: Die Hochzeits-Crasher
Original Title: Wedding Crashers
Sort Title: Hochzeits-Crasher

2nd:
T: Der Herr der Ringe
OT: Lord of the Rings
ST: Herr der Ringe

When I'm looking for the first I have to enter "Die Hoch" or "Wedd". "Hoch" won't find it.
When I'm looking for the second, I can enter "Herr" or "Lord" and it will be found.

It can't be the article "Die" because I'll find "Die BMX-Bande" by entering "BMX".

I think DVDP recognizes "Der" as an article, but not "Die". Try and change the Title from "Der Herr der Ringe" to the ungrammatical "Die Herr der Ringe", while leaving Sort Title="Herr der Ringe"
If you enter "Herr" in the Filter box, DVDP won't find it (unless you tick the Substring Search check box),

Enry's explanation sounds logical to me. Otherwise you'd have lots of fun with titles as "Die Hard"
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

I think, you are right, and it finds "Die BMX-Bande" because of the OT "BMX Bandits".

@Ken:

German articles are to be found here (both tables, left one are definitve articles, right one are indefinite articles).
