Is it possible to change the default directory for the files that are saved to My Documents (i.e. Databases, Layouts, etc.)

Afraid not.

At least not in an easy program-options way.

You can relocate the database only. To do that, you select Open Database... on the file menu. Click New Database, and there you can specify a different path and name. Select the tick-box to copy the current database, and the program will create the new database where you tell it to. Once that is done, you can select it to open, then going back to the Open Database menu, you can delete your old one. As with any fooling around, I highly recommend a full backup before you start.

Doing this will free up the space used for your main profiler database on the drive, but the other folders created in your "My Documents" have to stay there, since that seems to be hard coded into the program.

Make a complete backup of your current database.  Then click on File -> Open Database and select "New Database".  You can now create a new database anywhere you want.  Once created, restore your backup into the new database and that should essentially move it out of My Documents to wherever you want.

Ahh, nifty.  Didn't even realize that was there.  I always did it with the backup/restore method.

The database can be moved to another location as described above.

A user has come up with a solution to move the other files out of the my documents directory. See here.

This isn't supported by invelos so do it at your own risk. Apparently plugins don't work.
