| Posted: | | | | I'm working on a large 4 DVD set that has as many as 22 separate PD titles and the time (well spent) to get one film done for crew and cast, led me to see that there are numerous contributed and accepted titles, of the same, in data base that I would like to cut and paste for my own creativity. I don't believe I will be contributing this collection, if ever, into the main DB. But want to try and save some man hours and work days here, but mining the data currently in the DB for putting together the rather large cast and crew for each of the titles which are then put into Disc 1 Disc Two text, under the Divider bar for each of these 24 odd titles..
If I copy the cast/or crew and drop them into a notepad, and then add more to it.., exactly what do I NOT need in these XL database (.text) so I can then resume and paste back?? I keep getting an error message saying that the supplied data does not correspond to the paste.. ( or whatever).. | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. | Posted: | | | | You must not delete the <title> tag. If you do that it won't be imported. The <title> tag contains just the info from the "Do you want to past the cast from title xyz?" question. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | Goodguy's editor works with Excel. If you don't have Excel, you can use Tom Gaines' program: Cast & Crew Editor v1.5.4 / TV Cast and Crew Data It works as a stand-alone program. Either Goodguy's or Tom's tools are much handier than Notepad especially for something like you want to do. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. If you're working with many profiles at the same time, goodguy's credit excel template is really good. It's what I use. Kudos to him. If you are only working with one profile or need to make not so many changes, tomgaine's program is excellent too. | | | Peter
