There are NUMEROUS with whom I have a very cordial and friendly relationship, we can disagree on ideas, they make no attempt to judge me and i make no attempt to judge them, nor do i pretend to read more into their writings than is there, as some here do.

The facts Neill are simple. You tried toi make a Contribution and was told by several users, not simply myself, that they viewed it as against the Rules. You then took deliberate steps to circumvent those opinions, you may have meant well, but you were still circumventing the opinions of several users who had told you you were wrong. In point of fact my initial vote for you was yes, and I was called on it by another user, and I went and evaluated the Rule myself before changing my vote to No. I told you privately that I understood what you were doing and why and in fact agreed with it. But that doesn't change the fact that despite my personal agreement, in view of the Rules as they are right now I don't see a way to back you. If there was I would. Does the Rule need to be modified  absolutely...had I the ability to do so, I would have done so as soon as this came up. But that isn't in my wheelhouse, I can only make note of it, as I have many other Rules mods....and wait.<shrugs>

Not a thing I can do, on this one unitl Ken chooses to fix it. I wish there was another answer.

But also as I have said, unlike you I have not caled you any kind name nor will I ever. I think it is a shame that you feel free to sit and judgement and call others names. I forgave you for it long ago, but I won't forget it anytime soon, I wish I could, but I deal in ideas not personal attacks, though I will confess sometimes when I really feel put upon I will on ocassion respond in kind, I thnk that is normal, but I do try to resist it.

I think perhaps what it comes down, is that you may have taken my comments too personally...if that is true...don't do that. I don't judge YOU, I only judge your data, it's never personal.

I am not politically correct nor will I ever be, I don't believe in it. I will abuse ALL equally, no one who tells jokes is going to be universally accepted.I laugh at everybody about everything and anything, and I laugh at myself, in fact I love to poke fun at me as much as I do at anyone else. the problem is we have people who take themselves far too seriously and then we have some other people here who are just plain vicious. It was deliberate. Now let me explain why i view ti as such. You had already had several users tell you that they believed you were violating the Rules. I understand what you said about Play.com and canada, but just because it was another locality did not magically change the Rules. They remained the same. Were I you at that point, I would have done several things. I would have changed thsi discussion to one of figuring out to get a Rules mod to achieve what NEEDS to be achieved. I would not have Contributed the data in that form for ANY locality at this time. To the user that suggested that if I copied the Cast and crew data he would gladly copy it for his own files, I would have done that happily. Do you know how often i do that to begin with.

Given that I would not have Contributed the data in its present form because some viewed it as inconsistent with the Rules, but you did, that forms the basis for my opinion of your actions. Sorry, my friend. I simply see a correct way to do this and and incorrect way and you chose the wrong way.It is what it is. No malice, no judgement , no nothing.
