| | Posted: | | | | I am working on some TV Series profiles. One such profile lists Arnold F. Turner in the cast. But he is credited as Arnold Turner.
I have tried a search on Google... but so far the only thing I can find to say that Arnold F. Turner is the same as Arnold Turner is IMDB... and we know that is not enough.
I can't be 100% sure that Arnold F. Turner and Arnold Turner is the same guy but I do definitely believe it is. And to link them I need some proof.. as Arnold F. Turner would be the common name...

Arnold Turner 42/64

I am going by the previous profile, 2 sites (now) I found that mention it (neither of which I really trust) and all the profiles for both names being produced in the same time frame (the same decade). But I am not good with faces and don't know 100% for sure what he looks like.
It is just that I have this nagging feeling it is the same person but I can't seem to really prove it. Worse comes to worse they just won't link up. at least for the online profile. | | | | Pete |

| | Posted: | | | | Based on my research, Pete, I think comparative screen caps looks like the best answer. I cannot find anything that cross references the two besides IMDb either. To complicate matters there is a Dr. Arnold F. Turner in Chicago, he could also be an actor but.... Typical problem with lesser known to unknown actors and crew.

I might have to leave this one unlinked. He seems like a lesser known actor... but seems to have done quite a bit. Giga Wizard... I may be confused... but not seeing what your list is telling me. only thing there I see that even suggest that they are one in the same person is the last oine (imdb). or is that your point?  | | | | Pete |

| | Posted: | | | | I think you should err on the side of caution, and leave the two credits as separate entries in the actors table. It sounds like you've done your due diligence to try and find a correlation between the two, and if none can be found, maybe none exist.
I think this helps the integrity of the database, myself, because it would require someone to document a clear and distinct relationship between these two credits that would indicate they're one in the same person. |
