Q.1
Hugo E Blick ->

Hugo / E. / Blick
OR
Hugo / E / Blick
?

Q.2
Credited As?

Provided the Credit Look-Up Tool shows "Hugo E. Blick", but he is credited as "Hugo E Blick", would you use the Credited As field?

Hugo E. Blick [Hugo E Blick]
OR
just Hugo E. Blick
?

Your question is unclear.

You list the data as it appears On Screen PERIOD.

As for the CLT, be very wary, you will, in most cases find a lot of crossover. That is a title which will reflect BOTH listings. While dropping the period is not unheard of in film credits, it is fairly rare, but it is the style of IMDb. So I suspect if you investigated the crossovers you would find a lot of IMDb data that needs to be fixed.

A loty of your questions are old and already dealt with.  This one while new also need not really even exist. The above is exactly why my focus is NOT on the CLT at this time BUT on getting the As Credited Data correct. Once that data is CORRECT then the CLT will reflect accurate counts and WILL become useful until then it is very questionable.

In short, all of this to me is putting the cart in front of the horse.

So you always add a PERIOD after names, right?

It exists because I wonder how I should judge a contribution that introduces the Credited As field, as in the example I gave.

I may personally agree with you on that, although the Rules tell us to use the CLT, but it isn't relevant to the question.

I would say as long as you're happy with the choice of common name, then I see no problem with using "credited as" to show there is no period on screen.

I think you know better, Enry. I enter the data as it is displayed On Screen whatever. If a period is used, which is seems to be the film norm, I use it, if not...I don't.

Per the CLT he is credited as 'Hugo E Blick' in 9 titles, and 'Hugo E. Blick' in 7 titles.

Therefore, neither of your choices is correct.

He should simply be 'Hugo E Blick'..........no period.

Sometimes we get exactly what we ask for.

And just to put a spanner in the works, he's plain ol' Hugo Blick in 22 titles!

Didn't think to check that!

Hugo Blick [Hugo E Blick]  would be correct.

Just two shows, though: Black Adder s.4 and Jeeves & Wooster s.1.
The number goes up to 9 only thanks to Localities.

But three features: there is Batman too.

I definitely agree. More profiles, more titles, more features.

I believe the Contributor is reading this thread and will take note of that.

Thanks! I forgot to check plain Hugo Blick without the E., error corrected!

BTW, I have checked the DVDs I own with this guy, and he is credited as follows in these:

Hugo Blick
-The Wind in the Willows/Mr. Toad's Wild Ride

Hugo E. Blick
-Batman

Hugo E Blick
-Black Adder (Fourth Series)
-Jeeves & Wooster

Adjusting for these findings, the Credit Lookup tool shows that he is credited as Hugo E. Blick in 1 movie, as Hugo E Blick in 2 TV series, and as Hugo Blick in 1 confirmed movie and 6 other movies/series (which I do not own), i.e. 7 different titles, making Hugo Blick the correct common name at this point.

This assumes that Hugo and Hugo E (E.) are they same person, which they probably are. BUT they may not be just as easily. And I don't make that assumption.

It is the same guy; I've visually verified that the Hugo E Blick from Jeeves and Wooster is the same guy as the Hugo E. Blick from Batman, and in this interview with Hugo Blick (no initials)  http://www.bbc.co.uk/wales/talkwales/transcripts/hugoblick.shtml  he confirms he's the guy in Batman.
