In a case like this, the CLT is of no use as it may have been polluted by people who don't know that 'C' can be represented by 'ç'. Also do not remove any data which might appear on screen. If you then want to use the Alias system to pick up on François or any other name of this nature, with proper documentation you can do that.

Skip Time to change the record Skip. Just because you see 'FRANCOIS' as 'Francois doesn't mean everybody does. Some people will see it as 'François'. Unfortunately, for some reason, you can't seem to grasp that little fact. Personally I would enter it with a "ç", but I would not attempt to change an existing profile with "c" as I do not find a change from one valid interpretation of the rules to another valid interpretation of the rules to be significent (and according to the rules you shoould not make updates that are not significent).
"Credited as" would be used like any other name variation to determine the correct use (credit lookup etc). | | | Regards
