the reason I ask is on the back cover (cover scan) the overview starts off: JIM CARREY (Bruce Almighty, The Mask, Liar Liar). I started to correct the overview to match this as the overview field in DVD profiler started off JIM CARREY (The Mask, Liar Liar).
I then was like, but this came out before Bruce Almighty. Quick check of dates.
Dumb And Dumber
produced: 1994
released: 1997
Bruce Almighty
produced: 2003
released: 2003
So, based on those dates, it would seem that the current cover scan is either one from a re-release or the person that created the cover for Dumb And Dumber could see into the future. I can't check my actual cover as it is packed away. If its a re-release could someone scan\contribute the proper cover?
Also, shouldn't the title actually be 'Dumb and Dumber' (standard capitalization rules?)

Nothing on the case/disc indicates a re-release but as you say it must be a newer cover.
Guess we'll have to wait for someone who knows they got a original version and see if time-travel has occurred. |

Skip I did look for that but couldn't see a copyright date at all on the cover! I know the copy i have is not the newest (as a result of this thread!) and unless we discover otherwise would support a change of the overview to the version that ninehours has. |

| | Posted: | | | | Sorry think i may have confused things mine is a different release from Agrare. Think i found the one Agrare has on Movietyme if you enlarge the back cover you can just make out the the overview says JIM CARREY (The Mask, Liar Liar) but unfortunately no release date is given. |

| | Posted: | | | | DVDempire is easier because it's a larger image, but you are right i can't see any copyright data there. Iagree with your assesment that that version IS the correct release. It is clearly a SNAPPER case. And the Original release was long before Bruce Almighty was even filmed.

The original release from 97/05/20, upc 794043403620 with obiously the wrong cover with reference to Bruce Almighty 2. A re-release from 2001/10/02, upc 065935134589, locality USA. The cover seems to match the original from 97 and the UPC is actually from Aliance Atlantis Canada. 3. The Canadian profile released on 2001/10/02, upc 065935134589. Everything is perfect  |

| | Posted: | | | | Dumb And Dumber was released 3 times. The original Snapper, which lacks Bruce Almighty. Then they re-released it in a Keep Case in 2003. I have that release, and it indeed it says Bruce Almighty. There's a profile for this version using the DiiscID.
The third release was the Unrated Version from 2005.
So yeah, the image from the profile with the UPC code is incorrect, and someone with the Snapper version should resubmit. |

| | Posted: | | | | well thanks to all for helping clear that up. Based on the information, and checking out the actual case. I can scan the snapper version in and submit the proper cover for this release. I can probably do it on sunday, possibly can get to it thursday, but if no one does it before than, I should be able to do it in the coming week.
