  | | Posted: | | | | Hello I'm running DvD Profiler on my HTPC at a 42" 1080p TV. I want to be able to browse my movies directly at the TV but the text is by far too small to read at 1920*1080. Is there a possibility to enlarge the text? |

  | | Posted: | | | | yes, change your skin: to one of those: from dvd profiler menu: view load layout select: Invelos Default, and see if this works.
edit: just tested this and it looks like a no, even changing the lettre size of the deault windows to extra large does not effect the cast and crew text. Maybe some one can design a skin for 42" screens that has the text readable. | | | | Sources for one or more of the changes and/or additions were not submitted. | | Posted: | | | | the only way I see for now is to decrease the computer desktop to 1200 by 1024 or a similar format available to your flatscreen, and have the player switch to full screen resolution when playing your movie in high def. I can not test this. Don't look movies at my computer. | | | | Sources for one or more of the changes and/or additions were not submitted. Res: 1200 / 960 It's not quite 1080p but looks quite good on 42" | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

  | | Posted: | | | | I think you dont understand the problem: Ich want to keep the resolution in 1080p because movies look much better that way (even DvDs) and I dont see the point of switching the resolution each time just to access my DvD Database. This is certainly no problem on a PC Monitor because you sit close enough but since I sit 2-3 metres away from the TV I need a magnifying glass to read the letters. |

  | | Posted: | | | | yeah we do understand your problem. There is no layout available at this time that i know of that does the job. The only solution for now until someone else makes a layout for this purpose (HTML coding is not my thing). If you decrease your desktop size as suggested everything gets bigger, you only have to find a player that switches automaticly to full screen full resolution. If your player is not doing this. | | | | Sources for one or more of the changes and/or additions were not submitted. | | Posted: | | | | Try increasing the DPI setting in Windows.... on Vista:  Control Panel -> type DPI in the search window -> then select "Adjust font size"
I did this to get standard windows explorer readable from my sofa on my HTPC on a 42" 1080p .
I don't have DVDP installed on that PC so I can't say if DVDP uses the Windows DPI settings or only internal font sizes.... | | | Premium member since 29 August 2002 ----

  | | Posted: | | | | Ron's suggestion works. Just the overview stays the same. If you increase to 150% you loose half the height of the characters. If you're on XP, right click on the desctop. Select in the settings of your display adaptor: advanced settings. you should see a setting DPI select the 120 dpi. And reboot your machine. See if this works for you. | | | | Sources for one or more of the changes and/or additions were not submitted.
