Is T4XI really the title of the film?

that's irrelevant. We don't use the film title, we use the dvd title for the title field, which can (and sometimes does) vary from the film's title. Case in point 'There's Something More About Mary' vs 'There's Something About Mary'

Right... plus you have the fact that the screen cap in the very first post shows the film itself uses T4xi as well.

Well, then "Is T4XI the title of the DVD", if you want to be picky.

Invelos have approved 13 profiles with "Taxi 4" and 4 profiles with "T4XI", even though all of them have the same thing on the cover.

And if they put "Taxi 4" in the credit block I guess that at least someone in the production chain considers that the title of the film.

Amazon France lists the DVD as "Taxi 4". Amazon UK lists the R3 release - the only one they list - as "Taxi 4 (T4XI)". Amazon Germany lists it as "Taxi 4". HKFlix: "Taxi 4". CD Universe: "Taxi 4".  YesAsia: "Taxi 4"

IMDB (yes, I know) considers the film title to be "Taxi 4" and labels T4XI "French poster title"

Not that any of this necessarily means anything for our purposes, but at least it shows that it's far from crystal clear...

Does this mean we can blame the French?

I seem to recall a same argument with X-Men III.  The cover title on that was XIII.  So us Americans can screw up DVDP just as well as the French.  By the way, what was the outcome of that argument?
