I'm doing an analysis of Californication - The First Season and I am not sure which text to use for the overview in the child profiles.  On the disc, the menu for each episode has a brief synopsis which differs slightly from the synopsis on the THINPak insert.

So the question in my mind is which text should take precedence:  what's on the THINPak cover or what's on the DVD menu.

SECOND BUT MORE CRITICAL ISSUE:
I just clicked on View Contributors ifor Disc 2 of Californication and opened the Contribution Notes.  There was a pending contribution shown but when I clicked on "Evaluate This Contribution" to see whether I am duplication work someone else has already done, I get the following error:

Quote:
Unable to evaluate this contribution
The selected contribution is for a profile which is not in your collection.

This error doesn't make sense -- if the profile wasn't in my collection, how did I get to the "View Contribution Notes" screen in the first place?

I wonder if this is why we sometimes get a profile in the weekly update that we never got a chance to vote on it?

It MIGHT make sense, Ken. Notice I said MIGHT. IF you have not uploaded your collection with this title in it, then Gerri would assume that it was not in your collection.

For what you describe for Californication, I would use the inserts, if they have a summary, that is consistent with the way we generally do Overviews. I think I have found maybe a title or two where the Overviews were only within the Disc Menu system, then I used that summary.

That's it, Skip.  I though I had uploaded the collection after I bought the set on Friday, but obviously I didn't.

Thanks.  This makes sense.  I just though that some of the summaries were less revealing on the DVD than they are on the cover, but at least if we use the cover text we're consistent with what we ask people to do with the parent profile.
