I received The Golden Compass (UPC - 7-94043-12043-5) a few days back. When I opened to watch it yesterday I realized that both the discs were Disc 2 (special features) instead of Disc 1 and Disc 2. It was a new purchase and was sealed.

I have already requested RMA from the store but was just wondering if anyone else seen/heard of this problem?

Cheers!

I have had that happen to me twice (I don't recall which titles anymore).
That is the reason why I always open the cases as soon as I get to the car. This way I can just go back and exchange it if there's any problem.

Luckily that has never happened with any on-line purchase.

I bought one online ( Jack  ( Hollywood Pictures )  ) that had the security device on the program side of the disc and when i put it into the player it damaged my players lens and had to buy a replacement. How often do you take out a DVD and look at the program side of the disc before putting it in the player.
My collection PHPdvdProfiler Custom edited ( Matrix theme )

My collection PHPmyProfiler  Some customization ( FireFox or IE 7 )

Everytime I open a New DVD I always check the underbelly for defects/ scratches ...and oh yeah security devices stuck on the surface......

I bet you check more often now

I had one disc that had a black tar like smudge on the one side. It was a dual sided disc, one side full screen the other wide screen. Bet you can't guess which side was damaged.
