| | Posted: | | | | Okay, got my hands on a screener from my work. It's for "Life After Tomorrow" UPC 829567048023.
My questions are: 1) There's no back cover submitted for this. Mine has no barcode, and is very obviously marked as a screener. Should I contribute this or leave it local for my use? Right now, it's just 2 front covers, so it would be a slight improvement. The back matches fairly well (only the last sentence is slightly different) from what is on the current overview.
2) Is any info valid from this? It seems fully complete. No weird stops or gaps...editing seems complete. Wondering if I should/am allowed to submit the cast/crew info from this or if I should just leave it local.
Right now, according to the contrib. notes, it's all pre-release info...should I add mine to it?
I did look at the rules, but not seeing anything about screeners... Thanks for the help! | | | | Lori |

Every screener I've seen is a stripped down version of it's retail brother (99% are 2.0 audio only and no subs), so yeah, specs are definitly out. They are useful for: Cast Crew Studios CoO Runtime (haven't seen any "sped up" versions like TNT plays yet). Usually good for release date (it's printed on the back cover, sometimes on the front). I would double check the date though as some get changed after the old info screeners go out. |

I'm doing a lot of stuff locally, but since there was practically no info in the database wanted to get some in there to make it a more useful profile. I did see that mine has no menus or anything extra, so left that alone, along with subtitles/languages that sort of thing. Did add studios b/c they're in the credits, and cast and crew. | | | | Lori |

| | Posted: | | | | I've noticed that in a number of reviews at DVD Talk the reviewers caution people to be aware that their review was based on a screener version -- and that the final release-version of the DVD might be different (different audio, features, etc.).
