| Posted: | | | | Hi
I had a virus on my old computer so I have lost my complete database of around 600 dvds. Is there any way possible I can download all my movies from this site onto a new program if I download or do I need to input them one by one again?
I had also updated to a new registraion key last year however this information was also on the computer that had the virus in it. If I knew what the registration key was would it produce all my DVD's that I had previously entered?
How can I find out what my Registration key number was?
Thanks | | | Last edited: by kanamint |

| Posted: | | | | The only way you would be able to download your collection from here would be if you had uploaded them. As you're an un-registered user, you would only have been able to upload 50 titles. Unless you had a backup of your database somewhere then you'll need to start again I'm afraid |

| Posted: | | | | did you upload your collection in version 2 of profiler?
http://www.intervocative.com/DVDCollection.aspx/kanamint
seems to indicate that
if that's the case maybe you can get that "backup" again, possibly only through the help of Ken (the designer of dvdp) though
didn't you have a backup on an optical disc or external hdd? and what kind of virus was it. are you sure your entire hdd content is gone? | | | - Jan |

Now I cannot get access to my registration key The first thing to do is to get back your registration key.. Sign in: first / If this is your real ID name kanamint.., just go to here and then look up your registration key to paste back in to the uploaded 3.1 which is here . Then after all is installed,, restore your data back from Invelos ........... | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. | Posted: | | | | Hi Guys
I am "kanamint" and posted the original message. I forgot that last year I had to change my user name in order to get a new registration key.
I have found my Registration Key (unlimited version) and downloaded 3.1 onto my new computer but when I put in my registration key it has accepted it but shows total number of DVDs as zero.
Is there anyway I can download from here? |

| Posted: | | | | If you 'tweak' your titles using the personalized for purchases and watched by and special art covers Tags ,Loaned out ,, etc etc .. backup your collection 'twice' one- Back to the invelos site , and one on a separate folder and Hard drive or flash memory as saved files ext .pdf . In this way if you ever have to restore the titles you would always restore from HD,. even individually and 5 'separate categories' again on top of that... ! ( i.e. You screw up a specialized written overview on one DVD, for your own database..,You can get that one overview thru restore from HD rather than from the invelos backup) ... and of course don't forget to 'Lock off' those special titles so they don't get overwrittten upon a 'refresh library' request. . There your collection can be brought back EXACTLY as you wish rather than the collection being brought back as the UPC/ID for all that is stored in the bowels of Invelos .. If your PC or flash memory is stolen, lost or damaged beyond all repair , You now have the 'secondary' backup , of which you did, ( thank goodness ) as your first library was lost due to a virus.. | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. | Posted: | | | | I learned something here today. Make frequent backups of the database and save the backup to something other than your hard drive! Thanks for the lesson, cujodog! |
