Hello all

I'm considering replacing my Saw DVDs with Blu-ray...but I can't seem to find much information.

I need to compare the UK BD's to the DVDS.

1. Saw - is the BD the special edition? The uncut one?

2. Saw II - I have the R2 Director's Cut. Is the BD the DC too?

3. Saw III - I have the R2 Director's Cut. Is the BD the DC too?

4. Saw IV - I have the R1 Director's Cut. Is the UK BD the DC too?

5. Saw V - I have the R2 'Extreme Edition' - which is see is the same on BD. Is there a Director's Cut?

Thanks for any help on this.

This is one series of films where HD isn't a huge factor, at least not for me, so I have stuck to the DVD releases.  I wish you luck in your search for information.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

The quick rundown of the BD versions in their listings:

Saw is the only one I liked. I was shocked at the end when the dead guy in the bathroom was actually the bad guy was a live and got up at the end.

The movie was awesome now it just getting retarded.

Just not a fan of the SAW films!!!  I have seen the 1st and while the gadgets where great shock value, I think David Fincher's Seven already did the shock torture killer story much better!!!

I haven't seen any of the SAW movies (yet) but I agree that se7en was a masterfully crafted movie in its genre. Can't wait to own it on Blu-ray (hopefully we'll get a better US or EU release than the Canadian one)

Totally agree.

But that doesn't stop me enjoying the Saw films too. I simply love horror films!

I simply haven't had the opportunity to see them yet. Besides, who are you to say if someone is going to watch it?

It would've taken a few seconds to edit the post instead of arguing about whether or not someone is likely to watch it.
