the increasing interest in parsing discussions inspired me to this question:
When I filter crew by night, why is M. Knight Shyamalan not found?

Love, b//bb Maybe you should filter crew by day. Seriously most likely it's parsed M./Knight/Shyamalan and the filter mechanism does not work with only middle name. You can search for Shyamalan M. Shyamalan M. Knight Shyamalan but not for Knight Shyamalan (btw: AFAIK it also wouldn't work on a parsing like A B//C and you actually want to look for "A B C" because after the first space the program starts to look for "B" in the middle name or last name field, so only a search for "A C" would bring up the name) | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

That's because his name is M. Night Shyamalan. |
