We've some nice ideas and threads that bring up some new content to profiles of DVDP. In my mind I've these two: http://www.invelos.com/Forums.aspx?task=viewtopic&topicID=432352http://www.invelos.com/Forums.aspx?task=viewtopic&topicID=407358I think it would be great to have plugin/tool thich could automatically download the Screencaps and/or the Trivias which are provided and added them to the profiles in the collection. As I wrote at the beginning, I've no idea if this is possible, but wanted to bring up the idea as it would be very time saving. |

To display the trivia from IMDb or some other site is no problem, but saving it on the user's computer for offline usage is only possible with a DVDP plugin. Trivia, gallery images, additional info about cast & crew, . . . endless opportunities!!11!!!  I'll eventually request access to the plugin developers forum... at least if no established plugin developer accepts the challenge | | |

Well you can write such a tool without using a plugin. Just read the profiler XML and do your thing. (Edit: sorry, folder paths available in DP_VARS, not XML). Once the data is stored in the correct folders, your existing HTML windows can access the profile-relevant portion. Of course, please go ahead with the plugin route if you desire, I was just pointing out that I don't think you need to just to be able to store stuff on the user's computer. The advantage of a plugin would be able to grab the relevant folder paths at runtime. | | | Thanks for your support.

Maybe DJDoena could tweak his Cast & Crew editor to lift the trivia section info, just like it does the C&C info, BY's and Headshots, and then have it write the info and apply the <trivia= and /> in the notes section. |

Works like a charm Agree.  This is a great tool. Many thanks to DJ again. This will help many users to fill in the Trivia field, even if often too much stuff ("unnecessary") is listed in imdb. I personnally like the Trivias that are like Addicted2DVD posted in his Trivia thread. But this is just personnel opinion, so for other users this is absolutely and exactly what they want. |
