A profile (Empire Records UPC: 085392322220, collection # 6040)  is not showing up in my public online listing.  It does show up in my private online listing though.  While uploading my collection, I canceled the process to make some additional changes. This was done in the scanning collection phase.  At that time it was the last profile in my collection.  I only say that because I think the UPC somehow got hung up somewhere.  I have tried the following.

0) Repairing the DB
1) Deleting the profile  and then uploading.  Then re-adding the profile at collection # 6040 and uploading.
2) Moving the profile to a different  collection # and adding something else in the 6040 spot.
3)  uploading a blank collection online, then re-loading the entire collection
4) changing the UPC of Empire Records and uploading.  This did result in the item being online.  However I lost the pic and ability to update the profile automatically.

In every case (except #4), Empire Records did not show up in my public profile.  I don't know for sure if this is a problem with that particular UPC or the fact I canceled the transaction, but I have done everything I thought might fix the problem.

Any suggestions as to fix the problem or why this may have happened.

I also DO NOT have "hide in online public collection" checked.

I did check it, upload, uncheck it and upload again and it still does not appear.

There are three places to check

1) Online Collection Settings.
Make sure all the checkboxes are checked

2) DVD Profiler -> Tools -> Options -> Parental Control
Enable allow adult titles and uncheck any "hide".

3) The personalization section of the profile (CTRL-P)
Uncheck any "hide".

I don't think Empire Records falls under the Adult titles.

Maybe you have a corruption in your online database. You could try the following.

Create a new database in DVD Profiler. Do not add any titles. Upload the empty database to your online. This will wipe the entire online collection.

Then open your original database again, and re-upload it to the online.

However, this particular version of Empire Records is the Remix! version which is unrated....

I added that profile as a test and it showed in my online collection, so I don't think it's the profile.
You could try and make a change to the profile, anything that would show in the online, like a temporary title change, hopefully that may make the scanning section think it needs to reupload that profile.
The only other thing I can think of is make a back-up of your database, then create a new blank one, then add Empire Records to this new database and upload it. If this shows online, then using your backup add all your other discs to this new database and use that from now on.

I was going based on UPC 7321931232227, which is the dutch release of the Remix! and it had a 6 rating. But Not Rated is treated differently as Adult, I always believed.

I had already done everything people mentioned in the thread except what I highlighted above.  I made a change to the title (added a ".") and it showed up online.  I took the period off and it disappeared, so I guess I'm stuck with a period in my title.  Just don't understand why that would make a difference.

I'm thinking it may have something to do w/ canceling the scanning collection phase of the upload. Maybe the title got stuck in some buffer in the program used ... Anybody know that is familiar w/ the DVD Profiler program?

I had a similar issue with the new Blu-Ray of "The Wolfman." It was in my local collection, but it would not appear in my online collection as part of any update.

The profile I downloaded when I bought the disc showed the "Unrated" tag in the ratings section. I changed this to "NR" for Not Rated, and it then uploaded and was visible in my online collection after I again ran the online update.

"Unrated" seems to be acting the same as "Adult" in the ratings tags. So if you have any unrated, non-adult discs, you may want to flip the rating to NR instead of Unrated.

Or you could just quickly fix the options in Online Collection Settings.

If you do choose to change the rating locally.... just remember this info can't be contributed to the online database... and lock your rating locally so it isn't put back the next time you update.

1. What is the supposed difference between "Unrated" and "Not Rated"? Every other profile I've ever downloaded for an unrated disc has used the "Not Rated" tag. This is why I'd never noticed anything amiss with other unrated discs in my collection not showing up online.

2. Why is "Unrated" treated as Adult, but "Not Rated" is not?

You are probably just noticing it because it is a fairly new addition to the program. It has only been a matter of months since Unrated was added to the rating system.

It is supposed to help (not solve but help) so that some of the unrated more adult oriented movies like horror movies and such that was being put in NR ... and keep them away from the more family oriented shows and kid shows.

As to why it is treated the same as Adult (XXX Rated and such)... only the programmer can answer that. I personally would have put it one step below it so that it still shows in people's online collection.

This topic was very helpful for me as well. I noticed three movies (so far, I'm still checking) that were in my personal profile but would not show up in the online profile listing.

I didn't interrupt the process while it was uploading  and they weren' "unrated" so I don't know what caused the hang-up, but I  ran the database repair utility and it didn't fix it.
I was going to try and remove the titles from my collection and re-submit them, but instead I just tweaked the titles a bit and they showed up after I synchronized the list.

I was going to post this question, but figured SOMEBODY had to have had this same problem besides me. I'm glad I wasn't alone.
Thanks for the helpful information everyone.
