| Posted: | | | | I just purchased a new desktop this month with Windows 7 Home Premium. I had remembered to back up my data earlier last week prior to swapping out the system. I downloaded and re-installed the latest version and entered my unlimited reg key. Everything went fine until I tried to import and restore my previous back up. I got the following error: "access violation at address 0041AD0D in module 'dvdpro.exe' read of address 00000000"Can anyone tell me how to resolve this so I can restore my library? This is rather frustrating. |

| Posted: | | | | If all else fails, you can download your online collection. It won't give you everything that the "real" backup would, but it will restore your collection. | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |

Moving it to the desktop worked though I'm not sure why. I guess I will have to remap my backup destination by manually setting up my backups to my preferred location: my secondary drive D: where I copied over a great many of my datafiles from the old system. |

| Posted: | | | | When you mentioned that you have a new system, I figured that you may be running Windows 7. Win7 locks down access to the root directory and cause issues considering that DVDP defaults to the root directory.
I'll post a note about this in the beta forum. |

| Posted: | | | | Yes, you are right I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. This lock down, is this something that can be disabled/bypassed? I admit I'm not knowledgable about this area. Is there something I should be aware of interactively going forward? |
