| Posted: | | | | I was thinking that this maybe a good idea for those that don't want certain things downloaded into their local from the main database. Especially things like artwork (some like to do their own), or cast/crew where certain users may want to keep their local database "clean" of any potential errors downloaded into their local or have worked hard to keep track on common names or credited as and then have to go and manually check all of these people in the newly downloaded profile. Perhaps most helpful for tv series with long cast and crew sections.
Right now if you download a profile that isn't in your local you have to accept everything, which has the potential of undoing the hard work some of us have done on cast & crews. And then you have to go in and delete the cast/crew and redo them to make sure it meets your own criteria of accuracy.
Yeah I know that you could always do a manual profile, but this way if I want all the disc data I can have it without having to got through the cast/crew to fix errors or do common names/credited as names all over again.
I hope this makes some sense. |

| Posted: | | | | Quoting CubbyUps: Quote: Especially things like artwork (some like to do their own) be brutal, just hit cancel while Profiler is loading the covers. workarounds: - add those title to a second database, neuter them to your liking, backup and restore those profiles to the primary. or - type in UPC, uncheck "Download profile from Invelos", lock the parts you don't want, Online - > Refresh DVD from Invelos - > Refresh Profile and Images (or Refresh Profiles only) First method is a bit tiresome, second e.g. doesn't work for child-profiles if you get them with Ctrl&F12 So, there might still be need and I see no harm in it ... +1 cya, Mithi | | | Mithi's little XSLT tinkering - the power of XML --- DVD-Profiler Mini-Wiki |
