I submitted some updates on a couple of movies and both got a "No" vote because they included the Disc ID. The guy said disc id's can differ from region to region. No disc id was included on the original profile, in fact the original was barely more than a UPC and a Title. I've re-submitted without the disc id's, but I've submitted plenty of new submissions with disc id's and all have been approved. I can't see anywhere in the rules where it says you shouldn't submit a disc id, in fact it says you should!

More information is needed...

If the profile doesn't have a Disc ID, and your UPC and locality match the profile then the screen should ignore his comments.  If it has a disc id currently, I'd make sure that the DiscID you are trying to contribute isn't already in the online for it's locality and UPC.  If so, no point in re-contributing it.  Bottom line, if you get no votes and think they are out of line edit your submission and explain your case... if you are correct hopefully the screener will see that and the correct submission will be approved.

I've never had a disc id refused. I actually find I submit more disc id's than anything else, most aussie profilers obviously don't have a blu-ray drive in their computer to check the id's I guess.

Sounds like in your case, the screener got the submission confused with another from somewhere else. A little note here, sometimes the same UPC will appear in multiple locales - this is very evident for Australia/New Zealand, they use the same distribution and often the release is exactly the same. However once you change the country locale in dvdp it's treated like an entirely new profile. So it might be that there is an alternate profile with the same upc but a different disc id.

Still your submission should have been ok methinks. Just re-submit with a note.

Yea, this is the only thing I could think of as a reason to vote 'no'...if the disc ID being contributed is from a different region.
