On the Target exclusive edition with the bonus disc the slipcover has "Special Collector's Edition" right above Disc 1 specs.

Can that be entered as the edition?

Unfortunately going by Ken's last clarification... no... must be on the front cover.

Quoting Ken Cole:
Quote:
Edition helps distinguish between different releases, but it does not bear the full responsibility of that differentiation.  Per the rule, use the built-in editions when applicable, but tread lightly when stepping out of those choices.  When considering non-standard edition text, make sure it both:

- Help to differentiate versions - AND-
- Is prominently displayed on the front cover.

Any other interpretation of this rule starts us down the path to things like "Avatar: The Slightly Taller Version with the Blue Sticker"

But later in that thread he posted this.

Quote:
Note that the condition for prominent front cover display applies only to non-standard editions (those not included in the program's drop-down):

But then "Special Collector's Edition" isn't in the pull-down, so I guess no edition.

Which is also stated in the first statement that I quoted... slightly different wording... but there. Ken did say he would consider from anywhere on the case but unfortunately dropped it and never came back to change his mind.

I guess the edition is local only for this.

Too bad.

I tried in multiple threads to get him to agree with anywhere on the case...  but no luck yet.

I'm surprised "Special Collector's Edition" isn't in the drop down. Paramount's been using that since forever.

Special Collector's Edition is in my drop down menu. Must be what you have locally in your database; what you've used before.

There is 2 different settings for edition now. One is the build in choices that Ken is talking about.... and one is every edition used in your database. Click the button that looks like a little piece of paper before the edition field and you will see only the built in ones.
