| Posted: | | | | I think I already know the answer to this...but
A credit "Men's Wardrobe [name]"
Would that get a Costume Designer credit since "Wardrobe [by]" is in the crew chart?
I see some profiles that do, and some that don't put a credit for this |

| Posted: | | | | I was wondering because I am working on the common name for "Jered Edd Green" and there is a single profile "History of the World Part I", UPC/EAN 8-712626-042181 in there. So I checked the screen credits and saw that. It made me think because I am sure there are 4 other profiles in the system that don't have this credit.
But that film is old enough that I would assume that it could be a case of when crew/rule changes have occurred. |

| Posted: | | | | I add them if there is no costume designer credit, since in that case they are likely the designer.
Technically, they are allowed to be added even if there is, but I've always felt we want the actual designer, not the dude in charge of the costumes. | | | If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. -- Thorin Oakenshield |

| Posted: | | | | Yeah that one is hard to tell whether they are a type of costumer, or did they actually design them |

Personally, I think the field should just be renamed "Costumes" as many of the allowed credits don't really fall into the definition of "costume designer". | | | My DVD/Blu-ray Collection My Letterboxd Page | | | Last edited: by Rizor |
