Yes, those mixed language-titles are a bit strange, but they are what they are so they go into the profile. The, not so well written, rules refer to instances where a release really features multiple titles. Let's say we have a german/uk/french-release of "The Next Three Days" which carries the titles: "The Next Three Days", "72 Stunden - The Next Three Days" and "Les trois prochains jours". For the Germany-locality-profile you would use "72 Stunden - The Next Three Days", for the France-locality "Les trois prochains jours" | | | Mithi's little XSLT tinkering - the power of XML --- DVD-Profiler Mini-Wiki |

| Posted: | | | | I thought so too. But the rule appears to be sufficiently precise. I think here should be the title of publisher have the priority. cheers | | |

Nope, they don't say that they are meant for the very special case of multi-locality-release that indeed carry the titles in one language per release-locality. Which this release isn't. Quote: I think here should be the title of publisher have the priority. To be precise: not the publisher should have priority, but as always the cover. If the publisher is of the same opinion it certainly helps. What I would do: Add a comment to point out that several thousand titles of german-locality have those kind of titles, e.g. "Avatar - Aufbruch nach Pandora" etc. pp. Then I'd lock my title locally and forget the matter. If the contribution goes through, good. If not, good. | | | Mithi's little XSLT tinkering - the power of XML --- DVD-Profiler Mini-Wiki |

| Posted: | | | | This rule was originally written for multi-language localities, such as Belgium, Scandinavia or Quebec. It's for titles like this Quebecian release: Germany has a tendency to include the original title and add a German prefix/suffix. The German title of The Core is not Der innere Kern but The Core - Der innere Kern. It was released as such in the theatres and everywhere. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | This is an example of a movie with no "german" title. In this case the german distributor take the original title (without "The") and add a tagline. And this title is valid per rules. First the title and second the tagline - both titles have the same font size and are one part. In this case the title is "Tödliches Kommando" (big font) with the adding of the original title (small font). First the title and second the original title which is invalid per rules. | | | Si on n'a pas ce qu'on aime, on doit aimer, ce qu'on a ! |
