I have a problem with the following edition.
It is the German Mediabook of the movie Bedazzled from 1967 and its remake Bedazzled from 2000.
The German titles are Teuflisch - Mephisto ´68 (1967) and Teuflisch (2000).
The edition contains 3 discs. The original one on Blu-ray and DVD and the remake on Blu-ray.
This is the cover:

the text in the blue box says:
includes blu-ray with the remake Bedazzled (Teuflisch)

and this the back cover:

the description is about the original movie from 1967.

So is this a box set or just a edition with a bonus feature film?
Think different

This seems to fall under the Ben-Hur example of the bonus feature film rule.
Quote:
Previous movie versions, example "Ben-Hur: Four-Disc Collector's Edition" which includes the 1925 version.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

Agree,
only that in this case the "Bonus" is the newer version.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

So a profile with all data for the original movie and a child profile for the remake (and the dvd version)?

The back cover seems to give both versions equal visibility and doesn't seem to treat the remake as only as an extra.

Actually the back cover lists both feature films and then the bonus materials for both features.  That is it lists Teuflisch - Das Original & Teuflisch - Das Remake first followed by the "Bonus" material for both Teuflisch - Das Original (Mephisto ´68) and Teuflisch - Das Remake.

Yupp,
but once this blue sticker indicating the first release gets removed the version from 2000 will not be mentioned on the frontcover at all. And this is what counts (At least for the DVD-Title) and usually gives a good hint on how to treat the content.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!

I think it should be listed as a child profile.

The main profile shows 3 contents actually: 2 with disc-id, onw with ean. This is not correct. You would never know about the ean, just about the disc-id, if you buy this box only.

Would the blu-ray of the original movie also get child profile?

No, the BD of the original would be covered in the main profile.
