| Posted: | | | | Hi, Which credit should be taken: Special Effects Coordinator Colin Chilvers Supervisor Tony Kenny Is 'Supervisor Tony Kenny' the Special Effects Supervisor or not? Greets, Mitch. | | | Mitch |

| Posted: | | | | I would only credit the Special Effects Coordinator. Supervisor is just too vague. Even if these were under a Special Effects divider, it's still too vague as there are many supervisors in the special effects field such as on set supervisor or mechanical effects supervisor. This supervisor could be one of those or something else.
So no to the supervisor imo. |

| Posted: | | | | A Special Effects Coordinator can be added & credited when No Special Effects Supervisor is credited anywhere in the credits
Special Effects Coordinator Colin Chilvers can be used if there are no Special Effects Supervisor is credited any where in the crew |

| Posted: | | | | i would agree to take over the Special Effects Coordinator...
but later on in end credits at "Visual Effects by MILL FILM - Shepperton, England (at 2:10:12) is a credit for: SPFX Supervisor JASON MARSH
...
I think it's now self-explanatory that the Special Effects Coordinator is not allowed as per rules.
Back to the main question: i'm sure that the part of the end credits shown in this screenshot means that 'Supervisor Tony Kenny' is a Special Effects Supervisor - what else should he be? In my Database "Tony Kenny" has been taken over and all voters agreed... | | | Last edited: by LKanne |

| Posted: | | | | But the SPFX Supervisor is for a specific company where the Special Effects Coordinator is general. I believe sometimes we need to use a tiny bit of logic.
I don't believe we should use Tony Kenny because he could be the Office Supervisor and not a Special Effects Supervisor. | | | Marty - Registered July 10, 2004, User since 2002. |

I don't believe we should use Tony Kenny because he could be the Office Supervisor and not a Special Effects Supervisor. but the SPFX Supervisor gets a credit in the Company group, but doesn't trump the SPFX Coordinator in the main crew credits. Most of the time a SPFX Coordinator is higher up the food chain then a SPFX Supervisor. |

| Posted: | | | | That was my point exactly, in this case, the Coordinator trumps the SPFX Supervisor. | | | Marty - Registered July 10, 2004, User since 2002. |
